In a cold, remote village in the middle of Kalotto-ville lived a woman and her two young sons, Affii and Kinzenii. They were very poor and didn’t have a father to care for them.
Affii and Kinzenii’s mother, Priscilla, did everything she possibly could, every single day, to keep her two sons fed and warm from a blistering winter, which was lasting far longer than usual.
Every day, Priscilla and her two sons travelled to the nearby mountain ridge to pick wild berries and to collect dry wood. This they could take home and burn to keep them warm, especially during the night when it was very, very cold. This went on all winter long.
