Kerrington
We had a lot of shit that needed to be done. Since Ky would be working until later, I decided to get some of it done. Kas helped me get put the beds together a couple of days ago, now we had to put all this stuff up that we got from the baby shower. I looked around the room and boxes where everywhere.
“Where is all of this about to go?” I asked myself out loud.
I wasn’t about to do this myself, so I called over some help. My mom is always looking for something to do, so she was more than happy to come and help me. I moved some of the stuff around while I waited on her. This would be so much easier if Ky was here. She knows exactly where she wanted this stuff and how she wanted it. About an hour later, my mom showed up.
“Y’all haven’t done anything since this stuff has been here,” she said as she walked into the room.
“We were going to start tomorrow. Ky’s last day of work is today,” I responded.
“Y’all are so last minute. You could have paid someone to do this.” She thinks paying people to do all the work you don’t wanna do is a way of life. I guess it is if you can afford it, but why pay for something I can do myself?
“We have jobs ma,” I said to her.
“And that’s why I said you could have paid someone. Ky be tired, she doesn’t wanna have to do all of this. You’re supposed to make this easier for this.”
“I’m supposed to let her do what she wants to do. She said she wanted to handle this after her last day of work, so that’s what we were going to do.”
“What the hell am I here for?” she asked with raised eyebrows.
“Because I decided to start without her and you wanna help your favorite son,” I said and placed a kiss on her cheek.
“I’m helping my grandchildren,” she said and started putting some of the stuff away. We worked on the room for a while before we decided to call it quits. The bad part about it is, there was still a lot to do.
“Thanks ma,” I told her as I walked her to her car. I was about to meet Kas at the club. He said Dee and Reg was coming there.
“You’re welcome. Tell Ky to call me tomorrow and we can finish,” she said closing her door. When she pulled off, I locked up the house and headed to the club. I spoke to everyone as I walked in and then went straight into our section, where I knew they would be.
“What’s good?” I asked as I walked in, dapping every one of them up in the process.
“What’s up?” Dee, Reg, and Kas said back.
“I already told them about that shit, but you ain’t gone believe what they told me K. Sit the fuck down so they can tell you,” Kas said as he lit the blunt.
“Kas said Tess burned down y’all shit,” Reg started. I nodded my head. “I don’t think Play was in on that shit. She hit 3 of his traps that same night. She went there like she was picking up the money for him and took that shit. He doesn’t know where the fuck she at. He got money on her head for whoever bring her to him.”
“Damn!” I said laughing. He thought he was doing something by getting her back. She was with him because she needed some money and a place to stay.
“Wait nigga, that ain’t all,” Kas said with his eyes closed.
“Misha been fucking with Play,” Dee let out. That caught my attention.
“He’s up to something. Ain’t no way he don’t know Misha is your baby mama,” I said.
“Everybody knows Misha is my baby mama. She might not know the relationship with him, since I didn’t fuck with her like that, but he knows. Hell, he might have told her, and she don’t care,” Kas said.
“She could be on that same get back shit Tess was on,” I said, “The only difference is I didn’t give a fuck about Tess, so that shit did nothing for me,” I said.
“I don’t give a fuck about Misha, but since I hadn’t seen them around together, he wouldn’t know that. She like to have people thinking we would eventually be something. I just found that shit out too.”
“Damn,” Reg said. “Whenever y’all ready, say the word and it’s a go.”
“I’m ready now,” I said. I got a life to live and this nigga is getting people he thinks is close to us, like Kas’s baby mama. The bad part is he keep getting the wrong people.
“Now ain’t a good time. Let this shit settle with Tess, then we’ll handle it,” Kas responded. I nodded my head letting him know I agreed.
“We’ll get up with y’all,” Reg said. “If anything, change hit us.” He dapped us up and Dee followed.
“Aight,” Kas said before they walked out. We stayed for a little while chilling. I looked at the time and Ky should have been getting ready to get off.
“I’m ‘bout to run to my office and then I’ma dip,” I told Kas.
“I’ll meet you in the back. We can dip at the same time,” Kas responded.
I went into my office and used the bathroom, when I was coming out Ky was calling my phone.
“Are you on the way home?” I answered.
“This isn’t Ky, this is Tay. I called the ambulance, Ky is about to go to the hospital, her water broke but something else is wrong,” She said in one breath. I was moving quick as fuck, not paying attention to nothing going on around me. All I was thinking about was getting to my girl and kids. “Did you hear me?” she asked. That’s when I realized I hadn’t said anything back to her.
“Yeah, I’m on the way.” I didn’t hear Ky in the background thought, it was quiet as hell. “Aye, I don’t hear Ky, where is she? Let me talk to her.” I could hear the sirens now.
“Right here, she’s right here,” I heard but clearly it was in the background. “She passed out.” I heard before the line went out. I moved a little faster after that. I had to get to Ky and make sure she’s fine. As I walked out the door, I felt what I knew was a pistol to my head.
“I knew I’d catch your bitch as slipping sooner or later,” Play said laughing.
“If you gone kill me do that shit now.” I was irritated and I had somewhere to be.
“Your wish is my command. I’ma love taking care of your baby with that pretty little bitch of yours,” he stated. I knew he was about to kill me; this is the only way he would be able to do it. He’s a coward like that. The only thing I could think about was my girl. Something was wrong with her when Tay called me, and our kids will never know me. I know Kas will avenge my death and kill Play, so all that shit he was talking didn’t mean shit to me. I stood there, waiting for this coward ass nigga to pull the trigger.

Kas

“I knew I’d catch your bitch as slipping sooner or later.” I know that ain’t Play I’m hearing.
“If you gone kill me do that shit now,” K responded to him. I picked up the pace to get to where my brother was, pulling my pistol from my waist in the process.
“Your wish is my command. I’ma love taking care of your baby with that pretty little bitch of yours.”

I let one off in his leg, his dumb ass was so focused on K that he didn’t notice I walked up behind him. The number one mistake in his field of work; he’s supposed to be able to feel if someone is close, but I guess that’s what happens when you don’t do your own dirty work. He dropped his gun and hit the ground as soon as he was hit. K turned around, shocked that he wasn’t the one hit. He kicked Play right in the face, then knocked his ass out.
“I told your ass to pay attention to your fucking surroundings nigga.” I was pissed that K got caught slipping like that. I don’t know what I would have done if something would have happened to my brother. This nigga is literally my best friend and he was almost taken from me. I shook my head at the thought. That shit fucked me up.
“Shit, I know,” he said shaking his head, almost like he couldn’t believe he got caught too. “Ky is on the way to the hospital now. Tay said her water broke, that’s all that was on my mind. I gotta get to the hospital.” I knew we would have to deal with Play later, so I shot Dee and Reg a message asking them to pick him up so we could dip.
“Aight, go make sure everything good. I’ll handle this.” I pointed at Play, still laid out.
“Thanks bro. Don’t do shit to him,” he stated, pointing to Play with a stern look on his face. K wanted to handle that by himself and I understand. If it were me, I would want the same, but we would be handling this together after making sure Ky and the babies are good.
“I got you. I’ll get Jay and we will be there soon. Be careful nigga,” I told him. I know he gone drive like a bat out of hell to get to them. It didn’t take Dee and Reg no time to get back. After handli
