He is best known for his role as Kevin Arnold in the American television series The Wonder Years and as the grandson in The Princess Bride. He is currently doing the voice of Noah in Generator Rex.

Early life Savage was born in Chicago, the son of Joanne and Lewis Savage, who was an industrial real estate broker and [2] consultant. His brother is actor Ben Savage, and his sister is actress/musician Kala Savage. His grandparents were [3] Jewish immigrants from Poland, Ukraine, Germany, and Latvia.
Acting career Savage's first recorded performance was in the 1987 videoDinosaurs!. He then appeared onscreen inThe Boy Who Could Flyand several television shows, includingThe Twilight ZoneandCrime Storybefore gaining national attention as the grandson in the 1987 filmThe Princess Brideopposite Peter Falk. In 1988, Savage appeared as Kevin Arnold onThe Wonder Years, the role for which he is best known. His tenure in [4] the show resulted in two Golden Globe nominations and two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series; at the age of 13 he was the youngest actor ever to receive these honors. The Boy Who Could Flyis a 1986 film written and directed by Nick Castle. It was produced by Lorimar Productions for 20th Century Fox and released to movie theatres on August 14, 1986.
The film stars Lucy Deakins as 15-year-old Milly Michaelson, Jay Underwood as Eric Gibb, a boy with autism, Bonnie Bedelia as Milly's mother, Fred Savage as Milly's little brother, Colleen Dewhurst as a teacher, Fred Gwynne as Eric's uncle, Janet MacLachlan, and Mindy Cohn. After the suicide of her terminally ill father, Milly becomes friends with Eric, who lost both of his parents to a plane crash. Together, Eric and Milly find ways to cope with the loss and the pain as they escape to faraway places.
