I NTRODUCTION
With more than hundreds of thousands of players playing it every day, Minecraft is simply one of the best games developed in this decade. Due to its popularity, it has been ported to be capable of being played in multiple platforms such as the XBOX, PlayStation, iOS, and Android. Aside from that, the game has spawned many indie flash games that use Minecraft as the focus of their game system. Alternatively, other companies and individuals have even attempted to create replicas of the game - which is truly an exceptional proof that the game is one of the most extraordinary games ever built.

One of the reasons the game was able to achieve its current state of grandeur is its Redstone system. The Minecraft Redstone system is a gameplay element that allows players to create structures and devices that run using circuits. Just to ensure you get to understand that system easier, you can create devices like computers, calculators, logic circuits, and even games inside Minecraft.
This system can unleash a player s logical capacity and creativity. Aside from that, this system gave way to the possibility of creating almost anything in the Minecraft world.
Of course, creating a good Redstone device or formulating a Redstone idea to build in the game is no easy feat. One might spend hours in trying to come up with something new, but he might only frustrate himself because of the lack of ideas and experience when it comes to Redstone.
And this is where this book comes in. This book specializes in providing its readers 70 Redstone ideas that would surely amaze you and shock your friends in awe. The ideas listed in this book are properly listed in accordance to the skill level of the user. And if you are new, you must make sure that you do not skip the first parts of the book since it will guide you on how things work in Minecraft when it comes to Redstones.
On the other hand, you must prepare yourself to dedicate huge amounts of time if you attempt to build each one of the ideas that will be listed. Take note that creating Redstone devices is not as easy as building a nice house in Minecraft. Just one misplaced Redstone dust in your circuit might make you crazy looking for the reason your Redstone device is unable to perform the task you want it to do. And unfortunately, that alone can consume your time cruelly.
Aside from that, this book will also come with the top 70 tips and tricks on how to make your game a bit easier and more enjoyable. In case you will perform the Redstone ideas in Survival mode, it is necessary that you master all the things that will be mentioned in the second half of this book. One of the prime reasons you should do that is that creating Redstone ideas requires sheer amounts of resources. For example, gathering Redstone dusts is very difficult, especially if you have no idea where to find them or how to survive in locations with many life threatening elements like lava pools or creepers.
Due to those conditions, it might be best to start in the second part of the book first before attempting to build the ideas that you will see in the first half of this book. However, if you plan to play in creative mode, it is okay to read the Redstone ideas section first since finding resources is not an issue in creative.
And before you proceed in reading this book, thank you for getting this. You are highly appreciated for doing that. While reading this, it is best that you play in windowed mode for you to have easy access to this book while you play the game. Anyway, you can now go ahead and learn new neat stuff.

T ECHNICAL O VERVIEW
In a creative person s perspective, Minecraft is a world where everything is possible. To be honest, the typical game elements one can see on other games are few in this program. However, that should not be a problem since those things are not the primary reasons people are hooked on it.
Formally speaking, this rather short eBook will provide you some ideas and a few bits of information about the Redstone devices, machines, or ideas in this game. Sadly, this book cannot explain and teach the player on how to do each one of them exactly. And truly, doing those in written form is very painful and excruciating.
To be honest, it would be much better if the ideas that will be mentioned here will be demonstrated in instructional videos or step by step pictures. Moreso, please be reminded that some of the projects that will be listed here are even impossible or extremely difficult to be taught in video form. For example, the Redstone idea for the Minecraft Redstone Calculator will require a person more than 10 hours or even 100 hours of playing and recording time just to present to others the building processes that a player must go through.
Also, due to the vastness of the ideas that will be presented here, only the basic and essential ones will be given with some hints and instructions. It is expected that those who will seek the ideas under the advanced sections are capable of building the projects by knowing the ideas alone.
Anyway, if you need complete instructions on how to create these ideas, you will need to rely on YouTube. Many Minecraft players have actually posted their tutorials on how to create the following things below.
Note: The author uses the word Redstone in place of Redstone Dust.
C HAPTER 1: R EQUIREMENTS
Of course, for you to be able to build the ideas that will be listed here, you must be familiar with the blocks and items that you will use. Here is a brief list.
Basic
Redstone
Redstone Torch
Redstone Block
Redstone Repeater
Button
Lever
Pressure Plate
Pistons
Sticky Pistons
Advanced
Redstone Comparator
Hopper
Dispenser
Dropper
Basic Understanding of Redstone Logic Circuits
Logic circuits are the things that comprise small to large scale complex Redstone projects. To get better understanding of the logic circuits, you can visit the Logic Circuit page in the Minecraft Wiki site. By the way, you can start learning the following circuits or gates first.
OR
AND
XOR
NAND
IMPLIES
XNOR
C HAPTER 2: E SSENTIAL R EDSTONE I DEAS FOR S URVIVAL
The Redstone ideas under this section are important to build when one is playing in survival mode. Every creation that these ideas will produce will assist the player in making his survival easier.
Again, the projects below are the most basic things you can do with Redstones. They barely require a few instances of Redstone materials, and can be done in a matter of hours or even minutes if you are already familiar with how Redstone works.
1.Clock/Pulse Generator/Looper
Even though it is not that useful on its own, learning how to create a clock is essential if you want to build other Redstone devices. This goes especially with the advanced ones. This device provides on and off signals and is useful for other Redstone projects that require constant alternating power or signals.
Fortunately, there are many ways to build a clock. Nevertheless, the simplest way to create one is by using a block, Redstone torch, Redstone repeater, and Redstones.
Place a block first on the floor.
Put a Redstone torch on one of its sides.
Connect the Redstone torch to the repeater, and link the repeater to another side of the block.
Depending on the delay setting on the repeater, the signal that will come out from the clock circuit can be fast or slow.
However, be reminded that leaving it on the no delay setting can burn out the Redstone torch. A burn out torch will reactivate randomly, or when another element is added to the circuit. Also, no delay clocks can slow down your computer.

Three ways of creating clocks.
2.NOT Gate
The NOT gate is one of the gates that you will be frequently using. Technically, this gate or circuit will reverse the signal that goes through it. For example, if the Redstone line that is connected to the NOT gate is powered on, the output of the NOT gate will be unpowered.
To create a NOT gate, get a block.
Put a Redstone torch on one of its sides.
Any other side that does not have the Redstone torch can be connected to the incoming Redstone line or circuit that has the signal that will be reversed.
