Bubble Witch Saga is an online matching game available on Facebook and also on mobile via app stores online. This game is also similar to other matching games brought to you by popular game developer King. King, formerly King.com is a creator and developer of Facebook games. If you have played other King Saga games before then you will certainly be familiar with how Bubble Witch Saga goes: matching similar items to remove them from the puzzle is the object of the game. You score points whenever you pop a bubble and by many other ways as well. But getting high score is not the only thing you can enjoy in Bubble Witch Saga. The game is engaging and at the same time fun to play because of its interesting graphics, strategy type playing style and the ability to share and compete with friends.
Bubble Witch Saga is best played with friends. It is primarily a Facebook game so it is ideally played together with friends that you have in your account. Bubble Witch Saga is also free so you do not have to pay for anything just to play the game. If you do not have a Facebook account or a Google + account then you need to create one to play; after you are finished with creating your account you must log in to play. This is possibly the first tip that you need to play Bubble Witch Saga: get more friends to play; you will need them later to restore your lives and to perform secret tasks in Bubble Witch Saga.
 
Chapter 1. Basics of The Game
 
Just when you thought that you have played all other Saga games from King here come Bubble Witch Saga. It is a matching game with a unique twist. You will need to shoot down colored bubbles on the screen so that you can keep the witches’ cauldrons boiling. The scene is a dark forest where three witches are busy brewing magic potions and spells in a large cauldron. Players score points using different techniques and the higher your scores are the better your rating would be. You will also get an equivalent star rating at the end of the game which is your passport to unlocking additional powers so you can take on difficult levels. Stars vary from a single star to three stars and you get a corresponding star rating according to how you have played the game.
Star levels are customary in every King Saga game. You can find star ratings in all Saga games which are every time level ends. Each time you are also asked to share your scores or to post your score on a leaderboard and of course invite your friends to play with you. And possibly the next sensible tip would be is to play as good as you can since you need to get those stars! Do not take any level for granted since each level s worth at least one star.
 
Chapter 2. How to Play The Game
 
There is no additional hardware to install when you play Bubble Witch Saga but you need the latest version of Adobe Flash Player to be able to start playing. You can update your Flash player by going to the official site of Adobe to download the current version. The game is free so all you need is to log in your Facebook account from your PC or your mobile device. An app may be used to play this game from an android or smart phone as well as in an iPad and iPhone.
The game begins with a short introduction about Bubble Witch Saga through a map of the country. This map is directions in the country of the witches where you will join these three witches in creating spells and potions. The object of the game is to pop as many bubbles as you can in the puzzle. You must pop at least three bubbles of the same color so you can remove them. But of course you can remove four, five or even more bubbles grouped together so you can get a higher score. However the game is not that easy as it looks, players have a limited number of moves per level so this means that you need to can get a higher score. Scores will be discussed later as you become more familiar with how the game is played. As you combine at least 3 bubbles with the same color so you can eliminate them, a spider will appear after the explosion. Bubbles break and then bounce on the spiders and this increases your score. There are times when you shoot a bubble but you are not able to pop bubbles which will cost you a spider. You have limited number of shots per game and the number of remaining shots will be displayed in a cauldron on the bottom part of the screen. You will only be able to complete a level once you have made 9 holes in the ceiling on order to drop the bubbles so another tip would be is to strategize your shots so you will be able to maximize the number of shots that you have to pass a level. If you do not have enough number of shots and you have not completed your goal, the game will end.
The game is played using a mouse and sometimes you may also need to use the keyboard to press some keys like the spacebar so you can change the color of the bubbles in the cauldron. You may also want to update your speakers so you will be able to enjoy playing the different levels of the game along with a catchy tune. Some people love to play Bubble Witch Saga with their headphones so they can totally enjoy the game.
Directions how to play the game is totally different when you are on a mobile device. For instance you do not use a mouse but you merely tap on the screen to shoot bubbles; and instead of a spacebar you may need to tap on the cauldron to change the color of the bubbles.
 
Chapter 3. Levels of Bubble Witch Saga
 
Bubble Witch Saga has more than 300 levels and number of levels is constantly growing. The game has various worlds within those levels. And just like any matching game on Facebook, the levels become harder to complete as these increase. There are basic levels that will teach you how to move about, score and shoot basic moves. You can also learn from levels that have complex puzzle combinations. The game becomes more complicated however the basic rules still apply. You still need to finish your goal to be able to move up a level. There are no ways to jump from one level to another or any way you can choose where to start. There is a way however to play the game again if you are not successful in clearing a certain level.
As mentioned, you can only move levels once you have cleared the level and created 9 holes on the ceiling. You will also need to make a certain amount of points indicated on your goal and of course you need at least one star to proceed.
 
Chapter 4. Getting Scores at Bubble Witch Saga
 
You will be able to score when you combine at least three bubbles of the same color. You get more points when you create bubble color combinations of more than 4 bubbles. Sometimes you will even get to pop a set of five or more bubbles and this is a great way to earn a higher star rating. As mentioned earlier, you will be able to earn star points anywhere from one star to three stars. You will be able to use these stars to purchase different powers or boosters so you can advance to different levels, buy bubbles and ceiling holes and purchase lives. Here is a summary of how many stars you need for different items:
a) 20 star points will buy a Golden Spider potion while 50 stars will buy 7 extra bubbles in a cauldron. 130 points will buy a Rainbow Bubble magic potion
b) 70 star points will buy 3 extra ceiling holes
c) 90 star points will buy 6 more lives while 110 points will give you 7 more lives.
d) 200 points will buy 15,000 in-game coins for purchasing boosters while 250 for 20,000 coins, 300 for 25,000 coins and 400 points for 30,000 coins.
There are more ways to score and to eliminate bubbles of the same color even when these bubbles are far apart. The technique called linking bubbles or linked bubbles are popping bubbles that appear as links on the screen. When you pop these bubbles, all of the bubbles with the same color will be eliminated. There are times when there is a locked chain on the screen (this looks like a long line of chained bubbles blocking the screen or at least the bubbles from being popped); you will need to unlock the chain first so you will be able to pop the linked bubbles that are located above the chain. You need to shoot the linked bubbles directly otherwise this technique will never work. Linked bubbles will appear as you reach more complicated levels while you will never be able to get acquainted with a locked bubble chain until you reach level 309. Linked bubbles is another way to create green spiders; after making a green spider you will need to pop a linked bubble and then automatically you will be able to make another green spider.
