DEDICATIONS
T HIS GRATITUDE JOURNAL is dedicated to The Most High God. Thank You for showing me that I have a direct connection to You and with You. You see the God (Goddess) in me, and I embrace it fully. I dedicate this gratitude journal to my oldest son Carl and his wife who experienced a great loss while dealing with my cancer diagnosis. Your strength has inspired me to live life unapologetically.
This is also dedicated to all of the women we’ve lost to womb cancer.
PREFACE
T HERE WAS A purpose for this book being put on hold and I didn’t know what it was until I knew. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in March of 2018 and went through cancer treatment of radiation and chemo from May 2018- July 2018.
I was prepared to release this interactive gratitude journal later that year physically however, emotionally I was nowhere near prepared because I needed to go through the Sacred Woman’s Rites of Passage which I found in April 2020. I needed womb healing of my mind, and my heart to be set free from my past childhood trauma and to come to terms with my battle with cervical and uterine cancer, that resulted in my physical womb healing. This would be the beginning of a life transformation. God would turn my pain to purpose!
Before taking that journey, I did not truly understand how disease could be in my body for so long undetected. I could not come to terms with the lack of consequences for the doctors that continuously misdiagnosed me even after my history of abnormal pap smears, two Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedures (L.E.E.P’s), an Endometrial Ablation, being given hormone shots, multiple health screening labs, an ultrasound, a blood transfusion, and a hysterectomy.
This also took me on a journey to research womb wellness and the years of disproportionate medical and gynecological treatment that women of color have been enduring. I was not the exception; I was the rule.
I felt as though I had been experimented on. I was angry.
Why didn’t my OBGYN embrace the importance of prevention when it came to me? Why didn’t she screen for cervical cancer? How do I become an advocate to eliminate these health disparities and ensure medical staff listen to women of color when they fight to advocate for themselves. I learned cervical cancer is preventable!

SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
A SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TO my youngest son Amar who had to watch his mother almost faint, walk around pale and weak, sleep all day, and live life the weakest I ever have. I thank you for getting to school on time, keeping your grades up and going to the store no matter how embarrassing and buying my diapers (Yes, y’all! My diapers). I love you so much! I also give a special acknowledgement to Queen Afua’s Sacred Woman Rites of Passage that I was drawn to after my cancer diagnosis and battle which allowed me to learn about the importance of Womb Wellness and so much more!
I am now a Cervivor, an Ambassador for Womb Wellness, a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula and a Certified Integrative Health Coach. Ase and Amen!
I would also like to acknowledge the charity organization Cervivor thats primary goal is for all cervivors to be informed, empowered and alive!
Please go to their website to see how you may support this charity organization, http://www.cervivor.org .
In Honor of The Mothers of Gynecology Anarcha, Betsey, and Lucy.
