The fully matured person has no fear, no defense. He is psychologically open and vulnerable. He has dropped all his psychological armor, and is living out of love.

#6

A fearless person has everything life wants to give you as a gift. But you can’t get there from here without first dropping the fear. It’s taken up unconsciously in your childhood, but now you can consciously drop it and be mature.

#7

The root fear is the fear of death. It is the basis of all other fears. You are afraid that if you are real, death will take you. But the truth is that death will take everyone equally.

#8

In Jainism, there is a myth that states if a man becomes a world conqueror, he is called a chakravartin. The myth says that the chakravartins are treated in a special way in heaven. The chakravartin in this story wanted to sign his name on the gold mountain, but the gatekeeper stopped him and told him that he would regret it later.

The only way to overcome your fears is to not try to be special, but to simply be yourself. When you try to be special, you are actually running away from yourself. When you recognize your immortality, death disappears, and with it, all fears.
