Acknowledgments

I wish to thank all whose much appreciated skills and professional backgrounds, including consulting, counseling, scientific reviews, editing, and proofreading, have made this book a reality: Patricia Spadaro, Nigel Yorwerth, Sandra and William Irby, Jean-Pierre Rushing and Debi Gordon. Without you, it would have been difficult for me to stay motivated and keep going with reformulating, reformatting, and re-presenting my work.
My gratitude also goes out to a number of especially helpful people who have offered personal support and encouragement, some over many years and ongoing: Ineke de Leeuw, Tom and Mary Wilk, Bob and Josephine Alvarez, Andy and Lee Budka, Patricia LaFranchi, Lucille Cole, Monica MacCoun, Knut Berget, and Charles and Miriam Barker.
Last but not least, I wish to thank all the people with whom I have had the opportunity to share and discuss my findings, and yes, my struggles over the years to give form and explanation to often complex concepts. Thank you for your patience, your belief in me, your enthusiasm, and your valuable feedback during and after lectures and classes. It has been a privilege and a joy to share new territories with you!
Introduction

When we look around us and observe the increasingly disturbing signs of our times, such as record-breaking natural disasters, escalating financial crises in many nations, skyrocketing unemployment and poverty, endless wars abroad, and increasingly sophisticated surveillance systems at home, it is no wonder many of us are tense and worried about our future and the future of our children and grandchildren. We may even have a strong sense of foreboding because events seem to be unfolding so quickly. When and where will the next calamity occur? How long will mankind be able to sustain this rate of catastrophic events? Will we reach a point where we no longer have enough resources to help millions of people in distress?
It is against this backdrop that there has been a sharp increase of interest in the Book of Revelation—from religious and nonreligious people alike. The alarming developments and events of our times are so eerily similar to those described in Revelation, the last book of the Bible, that many feel that there is something incredibly significant and timely about its prophecies.
Some intuitively feel that Revelation must contain the keys we need to make it spiritually as well as physically through these extraordinarily challenging times, and they want to know exactly what those keys are. Others ask: Why should I be interested in prophecy? How is it going to help me? Why should I care ? I wrote The Revelation Code to answer those questions. I have always been deeply interested in the Book of Revelation. After decades of research, study, and experimentation, I discovered that it does indeed contain an incredibly important and timely message for us today—once we understand how to decode it.
Although there has been debate about authorship, I believe that John, the beloved disciple of Jesus, wrote down the Book of Revelation. Whoever the author was, he was most likely not aware of the cipher in what he wrote that sealed Revelation’s meaning. The intuitive process of a writer, scientist or anyone may deliver a concept that he or she only understands later, or that perhaps is only understood by someone years after their death. For my work I chose to use the King James Version of the Bible; even though the language is often archaic, it is traditionally known for the accuracy of its translation. I have made only one change for the sake of modern usage of the word in this book, combining the words under and foot as underfoot ; I did not allow this to affect the decoding process. One last editorial note—some people like to think of God as feminine; I use the pronouns he , his , and him throughout this book for ease and readability, not because I am excluding her . My sincere wish is to reach
