Thank you, Lord, for the calming of the stormy seas that resides in my soul. Lord, you are always with me for you have promised to never forsake or abandon me. You have known me since my inception and have always loved me. May all my actions glorify you for you Lord are the source of all that is good in this world. You created a perfect environment for me to dwell in, with wonderful people that strengthen me, and given me unlimited opportunities to serve you. You have supplied me with perfect health, perfect happiness, and perfect peace. I freely welcome your unconditional love and grace that gives me buoyancy through my time bound existence on earth. I surrender to you and pray that you grant me full understanding of your purpose for me as I seek your path, learn your ways, as you share your truth, and supply me with your wisdom. Lord, shape and sharpen me to be a useful instrument for your mission. Create in me a clean heart and guide my feet continually on the path of righteousness and restore the joy of my salvation. Create in me boldness to reach the lost, empower fellow believers, and inspire the next generation to continue the course for your love, tenderness, and mercies for all people. Create in me love for others and may I mirror you in my interactions with strangers. You hold my future in your hand and know how many days are remaining on my journey. Introduction
It has been my mission to write a book about the spiritual nature of man. In my other works I have alluded to the power of the spirit in man through my books and poetry. However, this book will outline a deep and introspective view of a relationship with the Holy and mighty God.
It is my ardent desire that you will embrace the concept of Spiritual Optimism and internalize it into your daily life. It is truly amazing what God has planned for your life, yet you must be prepared when God opens his abundance. One of the most precious verses in the New Testament is a familiar one to many Christians, yet it is worth repeating and memorizing for a closer walk with God.
In I Corinthians 2:9, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” What a beautiful message for you to know about God’s plans for your life. In Jeremiah 29:11 God goes into more detail, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” As we travel back to the New Testament in John 15:7, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” God spoke through Isaiah, an Old Testament Prophet, in Chapter 40:31, “but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” These are just a few of the promises that have been made for your benefit if you step out in faith to accept the salvation plan for redemption for your sins, and resurrection for your new life in Christ.
Spiritual Optimism is about expecting the best from your God. It is about understanding that you are loved unconditionally, you are showered in grace and are nurtured in righteousness. Spiritual Optimism is grounded in the knowledge that you were created for a special purpose, endowed with unique talents and skills, destined to be part of a body of believers and empowered to influence a lost world into the light of God’s love. Once you have absorbed the message and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life then you will be able to be so strong that this world will not disturb your peace of mind. You will be comfortable discussing the true riches of our lives which is our love for God, truth, and unlimited grace. You will become a better friend, colleague, husband, wife, or any other role that you play in life with others for you are transformed into the image of Christ himself. You will look on the positive side of everything that you come into contact within life. You will think of only the best, work only for the best and to expect only the best in all your endeavors. You will be happy about the success of others by expanding your viewpoint into an abundance mentality.
You will bury your past, so that you can build your future with your newfound Spiritual Optimism. You will share your love with the world with your interactions with others. You will focus only on the good as it pertains to your life and alleviate judgmental attitude about others.
When you embrace the Word of God on a daily basis you will discover that you will be too strong for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. The good news is that you have the blessed assurance of eternal life and the promises of God that have always succeeded and work mightily for those
