Description

This highly recommended book, 'You and Your Mobile Home', is a fascinating insight into the dynamics of health and happiness through belief and emotion. Malcolm S. Southwood has, after almost 40 years of practical and spiritual experience, managed to find a balance between spiritual insight and medical fact. As a professional spiritual-healing therapist, Southwood has been able to see through the dogma and self-interests of both the spiritual and medical worlds. This book is full of practical examples and exercises which, in some deep part of our soul, we can all associate with and which will help us to understand ourselves and our problems at a practical level. This exciting insight of the human experience should be read and considered by all levels of society--the scientist, the religious and the layperson--so they can begin to see both themselves and others with understanding and empathy.

No book is ever the work of a single person and this book is no exception. I thank my publishers, editors and the army of people involved in taking a rough manuscript and turning it into a published work worthy of the reader’s attention.
I thank the thousands of people who have trusted me with their emotional and other problems over the years. Without them, there would be no book, no story to tell or information to share.
Last but not least, I thank the reader for their trust in taking the time to consider the philosophies that this book wishes to bring to the attention of the wider public.

Introduction
This is a story about a child, an adult and their mobile home. Both the adult and the child experience life together, through its good times and its difficult times. Sometimes they live carelessly and forget to maintain their home, causing it damage needing repair, especially as the home gets older. Sometimes the damage is serious and they ask for help, and when the mobile home is no longer road-worthy, they abandon it.
Oh, I forgot to say: The mobile home is you!
Let us begin at the point where a mother’s instinctive life-force decides it’s time for you to leave your watery bed and begin an independent existence. As long as you don’t think you’re going to be totally independent, all will be fine. Birth is your first trauma, and what a trauma it is. Even before you have taken your first breath, you are in a life or death situation. If your mother is having a difficult day, I’m sure your day is not going to be all sunshine and roses, and the type of entry you are making onto this planet will affect you physically and emotionally, perhaps through until the end of your life. The birth process itself is not driven by emotion but more by instinct, which is memory developed over millions of years, and with the memory comes a complex set of instructions which are intended to take you from the beginning of your journey through to its end. This is not going to be an easy experience; you will be fighting to do things your own way and to fulfil the many and varied tasks you have been instructed to complete before the journey’s end. Your parents and others are going to do everything they can to suppress your better judgement, believing they alone know what is best for your life, irrespective of the fact that they haven’t seen the travel plans or know what it is you are expected to accomplish.
But back to the birth, something is definitely changing. What happens in the next few hours, will determine how your life unfurls. This does not feel good; everything around you is shrinking, getting tighter, forcing your little body in one direction—out. You are thinking, I mustn’t breathe until I’m out, everything is too tight, give me some space. I must get away from here. This really doesn’t feel good, get me out of here. Did I really agree to this? You start to kick and struggle to force your way out of this plastic-type housing and into freedom and space.
This whole procedure is as instinctive as a chicken slowly pecking itself out of its shell and knowing what it has to do when it’s finally pecked its way to freedom. While this physical struggle for life is taking place, the soul finally decides to join the party. This is the process of harmonisation between the soul and your physical self, your mobile home. One final push… Ufff, and you are free. Now life can begin, and the battles can start, have fun. The alternative? Don’t even think about it.
Part 1 Birth and Its Consequences

A New Beginning
It’s a surprise for most people to realise that it is only during birth that the essence of the spirit, the soul, connects with the baby. To do so earlier would have made it difficult to escape had something gone wrong during the pregnancy. This whole procedure of birth usually requires around seven hours. At the end of the seven hours, baby will have experienced the struggle to leave mother and, with the soul safely on board, will have become an independent life-force. Baby has made a successful entry into physical life and the mother will have experienced an exhausting feeling of release. Baby is now free to live its emotions, and both mother and baby will be enveloped in an aura of emotional love, though the baby will have the extra protection of spiritual love, which to those who can see this energy, appears like millions of tiny lights radiating from the baby’s body. This is a protective aura, and nothing should be done to damage this radiated protective shield. It is there to resist entry to the emotional energy of the adults around it. This shield, if undisturbed, will last for several weeks and give the child time to become one with its emotional energy and survival instincts. The greatest danger to this protective shield is s
