A Tribute To The Victims of Covid-19
Introduction
It will be quite relevant for the readers to apprise themselves of some background to understand and appreciate the contents and scope of this book.
Last year during Covid-19 and the lockdowns, my book ‘We the Oodles’ got published. The book vividly brought out the widespread decadence in the society in continuing with an established massive open international fraud through the sport of Cricket. Indisputable records and reasoning supported everything that was said. That book also contained a relevant chapter titled ‘Nature’s Fury, Man’s Folly’ on the Covid pandemic since threat from it had become quite scary by then.
That book, in totality, not only brought out reflections at another level, but it was also an extensive action document for the authorities, the media, and society as a whole. So was the case with my earlier book ‘Bettors Beware’ published years ago in 2013. That book was the very basis for my subsequent books ‘Cricket: The Massive Fraud’ and ‘Underworld Cup’. A writ petition was filed in the Supreme Court of India in the year 2017 by me and Shantanu Guha Ray, the renowned and internationally acclaimed investigative journalist, in our attempt to bring an end to the fraudulent Cricket. The book ‘We the Oodles’ chronicled it all including the developments after the petition, as the open fraud continues. It comprehensively detailed, with documentary evidence, the undoing of the Supreme Court of India, the top authorities, and the Media.
Any logical follow-up action by the authorities on the contents of that book or earlier books would have gone a long way in unearthing large scale terror-funding across borders and illegal and fraudulent activities of hundreds of celebrities in Cricket and other fields, corporate leaders, international organizations like ICC, and the political leaders the world over. In short, it would have caused an unprecedented global upheaval necessitating widespread overhauling of existing systems. That overhauling has been much overdue; as confirmed very recently by the ‘Pandora Papers’ leak also. That is necessary to effectively deal with the multitude of day to day or systemic problems the common man comes across and complains about – from hunger to injustice, from inflation to scams and crimes, from unemployment to suicides, from suffocating pollution to communal riots. Tending the roots is necessary to achieve any meaningful and lasting improvements in any respect.
A much larger multi-agency investigation than being ordered now by the Government of India into the Pandora Papers leak was necessitated. That was years ago . But the authorities, including the much-revered Supreme Court of India and the media, ignored it; and they continue to sleep over it. That alone should indicate to an intelligent mind how much more extensive and monumental the continuing scandal has been.
Ignoring the elephant in the room suited both the authorities and the media the most; any reaction by them would have necessarily stopped them and the whole political dispensation of the world in their tracks of perpetually pursuing falsehood. As Mr Shantanu Guha Ray remarked to me years ago, probably the whole thing was too explosive to result in any action by anyone.
It won’t be an exaggeration to say that awareness of the factual contents of my books among the masses and comprehension of the same by the world alone would have jolted the present day human world immensely; leave alone any action on the same by anyone.
If the publication of these books, revealing and documenting the unbelievably extra-ordinary truth, exposing many a mighty of the world with a bagful of indisputable evidence and reasoning, that lies unchallenged for almost a decade now, was a miracle; the continuing ignorance of the world at large and the prospering of the fraud and the crime despite having been so comprehensively exposed, that too for so many years, is a much bigger tragedy.
Today we are paying a hefty cost for that ignorance and inaction over the years, much beyond what we could have ever imagined. Those in the society who must have woken up, must have acted, remained in a state of dream, drifting into an existence openly controlled by that perpetual falsehood.
The onus was on us, the victims, to come to our senses to protect ourselves.
We didn’t.
The result is the mass extermination through the Corona virus that continues to ravage us.
Strange as it is, we crib a lot about suspected scams and frauds, but don’t bother at all about proven open mind-boggling decadence! And continue to accept the rot to the roots nonchalantly; trying to tend only some leaves here and there, now and then! While so openly and utterly fooled round the clock through the proven fake Cricket and by all its marketers, we, especially the intelligentsia, continue to act very smart otherwise, passing our bright judgment on everything under the sun!!
As luck would have it, just after the book ‘We the Oodles’ was published, I was approached by VOM (Voice of Margin) to write on their platform. That enabled me to continue putting on record further developments and my thoughts. It also helped me continue seeking the necessary, more extensive, and far-reaching overall corrections.
The present book collects most of my relevant articles published on VOM in chronological order. The approximate time of publishing these is also indicated being relevant to the contents, everything being a function of time. I have reviewed and revised some of these, a wee bit at very few places to improve upon the readability only. The word Genocide in some of these has been broadly used to convey decimation, mass murders thru the Corona virus. A chapter has been added in the end of this book to sum up, and put across the overall essence.
Some of these articles were written between April and August, 2021 when I myself was suffering from Corona and its after effects (have not recovered fully yet); more importantly when it was chaos all around and there was hardly anyone in India or a large part of it who had not lost a close friend or relative. No one knew who would perish and who would survive!
I feel the selected articles reinforce the essence of this book; make the reader conscious of the stark reality slowly but surely. Repetitions in these articles are quite noticeable at times. That’s because these have been written at different points of time, independent of each other, to convey the central thought/s occurring in the mind then. Also what do you do when your child doesn’t listen to what you feel it must in its own interest? You try to tell the same thing repeatedly in different ways, hoping that the right message would get registered in its brain one day! You don’t resign, but continue to persevere!
Unfortunately and sadly, all my warnings and efforts to caution the world have been going unheeded, and we have been facing the consequences throughout the world. We did have to face the dire results during April-May 2021 in India and at other times in other countries.
A year before that, I had posted something regarding the Corona virus that had started ravaging the world then, on my Facebook page. I feel that is quite relevant in the overall context of this book. Therefore the first chapter of the book before VOM posts is about that.
Along with telling almost everything about the extermination as it has been progressing, with the help of many relevant references giving inputs from many sources, these articles also clearly bring out how at the roots of the current catastrophe is nothing but our own accumulated failings. These also bring out my deep-set agony at the continuing stupidity and decadence of the human world in no uncertain manner.
We alone shall have to find ways and means to overcome our inherent mob-mentality under the weight of which any sound reasoning gets crushed; and change the course. That is necessary for the well-being and survival of mankind in the longer run.
The Genocide that is still on, sometimes subdued, sometimes more pronounced, is a much more giant elephant in the room, trampling upon us.
We have to take our call to deal with this elephant; the sooner, the better!!
Otherwise, we may continue to be at the horrific receiving end, such as we witnessed during the second wave of Covid-19 in India and at other times in other parts of the world in not much distant a past. If not in the immediate future, any tragedy may happen anytime later, given our inexplicable acceptance of the evident deep rooted rot.
Let us hope that the present worldwide calamity peters out early, causing minimum further damage, though there are no signs yet of it happening very soon.
