Even though life isn’t always easy, there’s definitely a light at the end of the tunnel, and all things can work together for good. Jesus is the hope of glory, so there is always hope. He wants to take from the deepest valley to the highest mountaintop, because we are all destined for greatness, and God has a beautiful plan and purpose for each one of us.
I also share how God has miraculously touched and blessed my life and has done for me what no doctor could do. God is a god of grace, mercy, and unconditional love, who does not care what Christian denomination you follow. He longs for a close personal relationship with each one of us.
My heart’s greatest desire is that no suffering will be in vain and that everything the enemy means for harm will be used for good. Since we live in a fallen world, suffering is inevitable, but it does not have to defeat us. If we partner with the Lord, follow his lead, and move forward, all things can and will work together for good.

PREFACE
Years ago, God put the writing of a book in my heart. My life had been far from average, so I knew He wanted me to share at least some of my story. Since that was all the information He gave me at the time, I put it off until He revealed more details. I am very grateful that I chose to wait on the Lord and didn’t get ahead of Him. I am definitely better off, and I’m certain that those who read this book will be too.
This is far from a typical autobiography. I share bits and pieces of my testimony throughout. My primary purpose is to help people turn their tragedies into triumphs as God has personally helped me do time and time again. When you read my step-by-step process, instead of being overwhelmed by what life has thrown your way, you will learn how to overcome.
One day while I was reading my Bible, God revealed the title of this book: If Knocked Down, Get Back Up Again. I was reading in my Bible, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body” (2 Corinthians 4:8–10, KJV), which describes the story of my life in a nutshell. From my birth, I had been afflicted with terrible health problems, which went from bad to worse due to a couple of severe accidents and medical malpractice. Some were life threatening; almost all were life altering. They all left me very restricted. I had high hopes and dreams, but accomplishing them seemed impossible. Fortunately, through the grace of God, I didn’t let that stop me. I encourage people not to let their circumstances stop them either. God can always make a way where there seems to be no way. And He can enable us to do things men and women would be unable to accomplish on their own.
I love to learn; I have for years. I also have great passion for reading, primarily the Bible, and for passing on to others what I have learned from the Lord, from reading, and from my life experiences. I do not want people to be uninformed, misinformed, empty, vulnerable, or unstable. I want people to know the whole truth, not just fragments of it, so they can be solid and strong in the Lord as I now am.
For years, I was very lonely, empty, fragile, and frail. Even though I was saved, something very important was missing. I didn’t have an intimate personal relationship with the Lord. The church I attended did not teach me the whole truth. Years later, the truth was revealed to me, and God used it to transform my life. I share how in this book.
The closer I got to God, the more discernment I was blessed with. I also started to hear the Lord’s voice and learn the ways in which He communicated with me. Once this occurred, the Holy Spirit revealed more and more of the details included in this book. I hope and pray you will be touched and blessed. Sadly, even today, vital truths are being withheld from the body of Christ. Some people are even teaching things that contradict the Word of God, including that healing and miracles aren’t for the age in which we live. This could not be farther from the truth. We are told in Hebrews 13:8 that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Jesus did not refuse to heal anyone who approached Him. Just as it was God’s will to heal then, it is God’s will to heal today because He is unchangeable.
My testimony is undeniable, living proof that God is still in the healing and miracle business. If He were not, I would not be alive today. Please only believe the report of the Lord and His truth.

CHAPTER 1
Life’s Journey
Before I turned a year old, my mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother read and talked to me quite frequently. As a result, I started talking when I was six months old. I was blessed with a photographic memory and was highly intelligent, just short of a genius, according to a doctor’s evaluation.
When I was a toddler, I experienced two major blows to my head. In the first accident, I rolled down a flight of stairs and hit my head on a brick floor. The second accident involved an innocent picture taken of me on a horse. Scared by the flash of the camera, the animal bucked and threw me. Once again, I hit my head; at the age of two and a half, I had my first seizure, which left me unconscious for twelve hours. Seizures of that length and magnitude are extremely dangerous, so much so it could have cost me my life or left me in a vegetated state.
