These lectures were given under the inspiration of such beliefs, formed partly from personal experience in teaching, and partly derived from the wisdom of our Hindu Rishis and Gurus. Intended especially for beginners, and delivered ea: tempore, they do not claim to be a systematic treatise; they will serve their purpose if they succeed in persuading the reader that he and I are of one blood and one life.
