I give all honor and praise to our Heavenly Father. I thank Him for this journey that He had planned for my life, even before the foundation of the world. I pray that when I stand before Him, I won’t be embarrassed. I thank my daughter, Porche’, my granddaughter, Nova, my son, Key’unte’, my husband, AC. I thank all that gave me encouraging words, and those that believed in me. I thank everyone for every part that they played whether it was through prayer, inspiration, or encouragement. May The Lord God Bless you with His choicest blessings.

Introduction
“Recently, America commemorated the 20 th anniversary of 9/11, where terrorists attacked the iconic World Trade Center. Many churches were full and people prayed mightily. Early 2020, the entire world was terrorized by a virtually invisible virus with a crown called, ‘Coronavirus’ or Covid-19. Unlike buildings, this violent enemy attacked our very bodies. We had to ‘mask up’ and ‘social distance’ just to survive! The conflicting messages about testing, masks, mandated vaccinations, opening up, and returning to work, school and church, created more confusion and anxiety.
Just as Covid attacks multiple organs in the body, multiple aspects of our society have been adversely impacted such as Healthcare, the economy, education, business, housing, places of worship, mental health, gun violence, and social unrest. We have also experienced natural disasters such as worldwide fires, floods, earthquakes and record shattering temperatures. But with God, there is “purpose in the pandemic.”
But, just as the 9/11 attack changed our society and our lives, Covid has redirected our lives to what some called a ‘new normal!’ - New challenges and long ignored efficiencies have made way for new opportunities for growth and service.”
What is this that we are now facing? What are we to do? Where do we start? What will it cost us? How will we handle this situation? When will it end?
I’m sure that many of us can answer these questions in many ways. No matter what answer you or I may give, these answers are endless. The world is still answering these and many more questions. However, there is no “man-given” solution. Wouldn’t you like to know the real answer or solution to this pandemic? The solution was given before the problem started. If you would like to know the solution to the pandemic and all of its variances, just keep reading.

What is Covid-19?
C ovid-19 “(caused by SARS-CoV-2) is defined as illness caused by a novel coronavirus called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2; formerly called 2019-nCoV).” This is a pandemic that has not only affected me, but it has affected the entire world in many ways. This “illness caused by SARS-CoV 2 was termed Covid-19 by the WHO, (World Health Organization), the acronym derived from coronavirus disease 2019. The name was chosen to avoid stigmatizing the virus’s origins in terms of populations, geography, or animal associations.”

What is Happening?
C ovid-19 is the first pandemic that has been known to me in this way. But, before I get started in expressing how Covid-19 has affected me and the world, I perceive many are pondering what a pandemic really is. Well, according to Merriam-Webster, “a pandemic is an outbreak of a disease that occurs over a wide geographic area, (such as multiple countries or continents) and typically affects a significant proportion of a population: a pandemic outbreak of a disease.” The initial thought about Covid was that it would soon pass or that’s something that we [in America] wouldn’t have to face. No one really believed that it would happen to us, [U.S.A.]. The United States government regulated guidelines and asked everyone to wear masks. Of course, there were those who chose not to wear masks. Some people have a concept of, “ Oh, it won’t happen to me,” until it does happen. And it did. Soon enough, it became a situation that we knew nothing about how to handle. Most wanted to pretend that it really wasn’t happening, but it was. It became all too real for us here in the United States. First, there was “a” case. Then, there were several cases. Now, there are billions of cases in the world. There are also repeated cases. There were people who wanted to continue not wearing a mask, and not respecting the recommended space of others. The protocol was taken lightly by many individuals. “As cases continue to surge; countries are keeping their borders sealed, businesses are shutting down (leading to massive job losses), sporting events are being canceled, and college students are transitioning from in-person to virtual. Masks are asked to be worn. Many are asked to practice “‘social distancing.’” Hospitals are filling to capacity and overflowing with sick people. Families are not allowed to visit them during this time. There are illnesses. There are deaths. Deaths are on the rise. Mortuaries are filling. Mortuaries are even running out of morgue space for these bodies. The communication space, referred to as social distancing, between individuals is limited. The way we greet each other has changed. Gatherings are being limited. Capacity limits are being instituted. Family visitations have ceased. Businesses are closing. Large companies are going remote. Schools are going remote or closing. Church services are shut down. Other avenues for worship services are being sought. There are food shortages. There are high unemployment rates. Doctors and nurses are leaving their jobs. Front line workers everywhere are getting exhausted. “California was the first state to order all residents to stay home with the exceptions of going to an essential job or shopping for essential needs.” Stimulus packages are being dispensed. “March 13, 2020, President Trump declares a National Emergency to free up 50 billion dollars in federal resources to combat the coronavirus.” PPE (personal protective equipment) are being bought and sold at high demand. Masks are being worn. Signs are being posted on floors, in windows, on doors, billboards, and stand alone. Worship centers and churches are closed. Schools are closing. The education process is interrupted. Transportation is being interrupted. People are being asked to limit travel. Mail orders are delivered late or not at all. Food supply and delivery is staggering. Prices on everything have drastically increased. Hostility is enraged. Gun violence and murder is on the rise. Communication processes have taken new routes. Creativity has opened new money schemes. Currency is transitioning from tender into electronic funds. The list of effectiveness is endless. “Scientists race to understand the disease, find treatments, and solutions, and develop vaccines.” Now, most people are continuing to wear masks and social distance. More and more people are now taking Covid seriously. Sometimes when things are new, it is hard to grasp. But over time, we soon understand. The concept becomes common. “The Covid-19 epidemic is not like anything else we have experienced in the past 102 years.”

How Has Covid-19 Affected Me?
L et me begin by expressing how the pandemic has affected me. When it first started, I was going about, like everyone else, in my normal, daily life. I enrolled in school in 2020. I thought I was ready to put my mind on something else. That didn’t happen as I thought it would. As a school teacher, I didn’t know what to expect from what we called “the virus”[referring to Covid-19].
It was early Spring. The news became prevalent in the school system that certain local schools had a certain number of cases. Before anyone at the school where I worked became infected, our superintendent closed the school. We had to prepare learning packets of work for the students to do, as if it were Summer. In March 2020, our school system closed. The followin
