There are some of us who know beyond a doubt we have incarnated in this lifetime with a particular purpose: to assist humanity and the Earth in our own unique ways through the process of rapid spiritual awakening that is now occurring across the planet.
This awakening is an evolutionary leap that has been predicted throughout the ages by visionaries, indigenous elders, and a number of spiritual teachers world-wide. Referred to as the Shift or Ascension to the Fifth Dimension , it involves a radical shift from the prevailing consciousness of humanity for many thousands of years to one that is dramatically more aware, loving, interconnected and free.
For just about all of us who know we are here to be involved in assisting with this Shift, as soon as we began hearing or reading about it, something deep within us responded. Something woke up, giving birth to a deep longing to move as quickly as possible into the work we knew we were here to do.
Among other names, we’ve been called “Ascension Lightworkers”, the “First Wave of Ascension”, or “Conscious Evolutionaries”. We know we are not simply here to be of service to people in traditional ways. Nor are we only waking up for our own personal spiritual evolution. We are here for the collective.
Many others, although not especially called to serve in this specific way, are also sensing that something dramatically different is happening on the planet and in their own lives. In particular, they are experiencing an acceleration in their awakening process.
My first book on this subject, Awakening to the Fifth Dimension: A Guide for Navigating the Global Shift, was an attempt to reach those having these kinds of experiences, offering the larger picture of the phenomenon of Ascension to explain them. I especially hoped to connect with those who might be feeling alone and confused about the changes they were experiencing and wondering what to do with their longing to move into their spiritual or life purpose. It has been heart-warming to find that the book has found and assisted many of those people.
With this book, I am hoping to give an update on the inner changes that a number of us have been experiencing since I wrote the first book in early 2014. I think I speak for many of us when I say that our Ascension experience thus far has been two-fold: We’ve experienced some incredibly exciting shifts, healings and openings; and we’ve also found that flowing with the profound changes taking place within us has proved to be a more complex mission than we once imagined. The challenging aspects of the process have perhaps also gone on longer than we’d imagined.
Most of us within this Ascension Lightworker group are deeply familiar with life’s challenging invitations; we’ve gone through many years of working through our “stuff”, developing solid spiritual practices, and healing our bodies. We’ve survived difficult relationships, profound losses, and dramatic inner and outer changes in our lives.
