Sunday Aigbe is the director of the Center for African Culture and Research International, Denver, Colorado. A former pastor and Bible College professor for the Assemblies of God in Nigeria, Aigbe received his B.A. degree from the West Africa Advanced School of Theology in 1980. Aigbe later attended Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, where he received his Ph.D. degree in Intercultural Studies in 1989.
Augustus Cerillo, Jr., is Professor of History at California State University, Long Beach, California. As an urban specialist, he teaches an interdisciplinary course on “The City” at California State University. He also teaches the “History of Pentecostalism” course as a visiting professor at Southern California College, Costa Mesa, California. These scholarly activities converge in his analysis of the impact of urbanization on the character of Pentecostal missions. Dr. Cerillo is co-author of Salt and Light: Evangelical Political Thought in Modern America . He has contributed articles to scholarly journals and books in the areas of urban reform and evangelical social thought. His volume, Reform in New York City: A Study of Urban Progressivism , was published in 1991 by Garland Publishing. Dr. Cerillo holds his Ph.D. in American history from Northwestern University (1969).
Murray W. Dempster is Professor of Social Ethics at Southern California College, Costa Mesa, California. He is co-author of Salt and Light: Evangelical Political Thought in Modern America . His articles analyzing the connection between Pentecostal theology and issues of social concern have appeared in Pneuma, Paraclete , and Crux . Actively involved in the Society for Pentecostal Studies, Professor Dempster is currently the president of the society. Dr. Dempster received his Ph.D. in social ethics from the University of Southern California in 1980.
Gordon D. Fee, an internationally recognized biblical scholar, is Professor of New Testament at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Dr. Fee spends a significant portion of his teaching ministry each year in theological institutions in non-Western nations. Among his many publications are Commentary on the First Epistle to the Corinthians in the New International Commentary series, 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus in the New International Biblical Commentary series, and New Testament Exegesis, A Handbook for Students and Pastors . Dr. Fee received his Ph.D. in New Testament from the University of Southern California in 1966.
Jeffrey Gros, FSC, is director of the Working Group on Faith and Order of the National Council of Churches of Christ in the U.S. A Roman Catholic by confession, Brother Gros has been at the forefront of leadership in initiating and sustaining the ecumenical-Pentecostal dialogue. His analysis of the last major conference in the dialogue entitled, “Confessing the Apostolic Faith from the Perspective of the Pentecostal Churches” is found in the spring 1987 issue of Pneuma . In addition to his many articles and reviews in a variety of theological journals, Gros is editor of The Search for Visible Unity , published by Pilgrim Press in 1984, and co-editor of Building Unity , published by Paulist Press in 1989. Dr. Gros holds the Ph.D. in systematic theology from Fordham University (1973).
Byron D. Klaus is coordinator of U.S. Relations for Latin America ChildCare and Associate Professor of Church Ministries at Southern California College, Costa Mesa, California. Professor Klaus is involved in extensive overseas mission activity including planning and teaching at a number of theological institutions in Latin America and Asia. He has spearheaded the development of Southern California College’s Costa Rica Study Center. His articles have appeared in Church Educator, Christian Education Journal, Paraclete , and a number of Assemblies of God denominational publications. Klaus has contributed chapters to volumes published by Moody Press, Gospel Publishing House, and Regal. He holds a D.Min. degree from Fuller Theological Seminary (1986).
Charles H. Kraft is Professor of Anthropology and Intercultural Communication at Fuller Theological Seminary School of World Mission in Pasadena, California. He formerly served as a missionary to Nigeria with the Brethren Church, Ashland, Ohio. Dr. Kraft has authored Christianity in Culture, Communicating the Gospel God’s Way, Communication Theory for Christian Witness , and Christianity with Power . Dr. Kraft received his Ph.D. degree at Hartford Seminary Foundation, Hartford, Connecticut in 1963.
Peter Kuzmi č is secretary of the governing body of Kristova Pentecostal Crkva , the organization for Pentecostal churches in Yugoslavia. He also is the co-founder and director of Biblijsko Teoloski Institut in Osijek, Yugoslavia, and pastors a Pentecostal church there. An authority on Christianity and Marxism, Dr. Kuzmi č has participated in many theological conferences and seminars worldwide. He was a plenary speaker at Lausanne II in Manila, 1989. He serves as chairman of the Theological Commission of the World Evangelical Fellowship, is a member of the executive committee of the Fellowship of European Evangelical Theologians, and is a member of the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization. In addition to writing numerous journal and magazine articles, Dr. Kuzmi č authored The Gospel of John , a study guide for the International Correspondence Institute, Brussels, Belgium. Dr. Kuzmi č holds a Dr.Theol. degree from the Catholic Faculty of Theology, University of Zagreb (1981).
Sobhi W. Malek received his B.S. degree in 1960 at the University of Cairo School of Pharmacy. A call to missions led Dr. Malek to Fuller Theological Seminary School of World Mission where he received his D.Miss. degree in 1986. He has written and published several devotional books used among the millions of Arabs in the Middle East. Dr. Malek is a guest teacher at Bible schools and seminaries and speaks in conferences and seminars on the topics of Islam, Muslim evangelism, and missions to Muslims. He is currently serving as a missionary for the Assemblies of God in France.
Gary B. McGee is Professor of Church History at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri. Among Dr. McGee’s many publications are This Gospel Shall Be Preached: A History and Theology of Assemblies of God Foreign Missions to 1959 and This Gospel Shall Be Preached: A History and Theology of Assemblies of God Foreign Missions since 1959 . He is also one of the editors of the Dictionary of Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements (1988). Each of these volumes has been hailed by the editors of the International Bulletin of Missionary Research as among the top fifteen books in missions studies for the year published. Dr. McGee received his Ph.D. degree from Saint Louis University in 1984.
Larry D. Pate, formerly a missionary to Bangladesh, serves as the director of Two-Thirds World Missions for Overseas Crusades. He has authored Starting New Churches, Misionalogia: Nuestro Cometido Transcultural , and his most recent work, From Every People: A Handbook of Two-Thirds World Missions with Directory/Histories/Analysis , has been acclaimed by the editors of the International Bulletin of Missionary Research as one of the top fifteen books in mission studies for 1989. Dr. Pate received his D.Miss. degree in 1990 from Fuller Theological Seminary School of World Mission.
