Description

Prevailing Love is all about what to do when everything else has failed, a common reason why our world is littered with bloody issues. It emphasizes the kind of love which enables individuals to forgive one another and live better lives. It also shows the different kinds of secular love and their weaknesses. It then points out that prevailing love is what we need to live better in this world. All other kinds of love have been tried by mankind but the results have left mankind heartbroken and unhappy. Much effort has not been made to learn and practice prevailing love. Without God's kind of love, our world and all relationships will continue to be shaky, bitter, and tumultuous.
This book is divided into seven distinct chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the reader to the topic of love and a world without prevailing love, the main reason we have so many local and international human disengagements, hatred, and wars. Chapter 2 examines the limitations of secular love and explains why it cannot solve our social ills. Chapter 3 introduces prevailing love, its definitions and ramifications, and why it is the only option that can make a real positive difference in our world. Chapter 4 examines how one can develop prevailing love for dealing with personal, family, and societal social issues. Chapter 5 examines true life examples of some individuals who have lived in prevailing love. Chapter 6 discusses selected benefits of prevailing love if it is applied in our society today. Chapter 7 is designed to help people who do not have a personal relationship with God to be born again.

About the Author
PREFACE
I WAS FORCED TO write this book because of the so much hate, skirmishes, bruises, pains, and unforgiveness I have seen in people who find it difficult to love certain individuals and the difficulties some have in forgiving others. Anyone who has had an occasion to experience a sour, bitter, or broken relationship with someone else knows that life can be better lived if relationships can be improved or repaired. The challenge and enjoyment of love are two of the most difficult-to-explain antitheses of life which God left for mankind to figure out how to deal with. On one extreme is the fact that the Kingdom of God cannot be realized without dealing with the difficult challenge to love people at all cost. On the other extreme is the joy and numerous benefits we humans would enjoy when we love one another as God intends. Each one of these sides affects people as individual human beings, family members, fellow employees, members of an organization, or members of society. It is clear to this author that dealing with these issues is very important to opening the floodgate of happiness for mankind at every level in society.
It is evident that society is full of issues that could have been settled with love if people understood what love is as intended by our Creator God who placed us on planet earth. Unfortunately, relatively very few of us really understood the fact that we must squarely deal with this issue in order to fully participate in, and enjoy, life as God intended. Failure to confront this will leave mankind to continue to live in misery and all the associated evils we have today. There is bound to be more hate, quarrels, violence, fighting, wars, and bloodshed in our homes, businesses, workplaces, roadways, streets, governments, within and outside our borders.
Prevailing Love is all about what to do when everything else has failed, a common reason why our world is littered with bloody issues. It emphasizes the kind of love which enables individuals to forgive one another and live better lives. It shows the different kinds of secular love and their weaknesses. It then points out that prevailing love is what we need to live better in this world. All other kinds of love have been tried by mankind but the results have left mankind heartbroken and unhappy. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I GIVE ALL THE credit for this book to God who inspired the topic, provided me with the opportunities to live, know Him, and gain the knowledge and information to write it. All glory and honor belong to Him for ever and ever. May His name be hallowed.
To those who helped in my Christian upbringing (parents, relations, mentors, teachers, pastors, friends, etc.), words can never be enough to express my gratitude for the roles you played in my life. My spiritual, moral, professional, and academic teachers, mentors, supporters, and advisors deserve much credit as well. It must be noted that I might not have remained a Christian today without their assistance in grooming and pruning me through life. Also, my native town relations, mentors, sponsors, supporters, and the cultural and religious milieu there provided the foundational base of my beginning and sustained endurance in the spiritual pursuits that have lasted all my life. Some have gone on now to glory, but history will not fail to remember them for the sacrificial seed they sowed in me from my birth.
My late parents Chief Gabriel Ilechukwu Obi (Akunne) and Mrs. Virginia Ulokwe Obi helped to ensure that I embraced Christianity from the moment I was born. My late aunt and godmother Mrs. Winifred Omunuzuo Obi helped to build and strengthen my spiritual life by ensuring that I read and memorized the scriptures, attended church and Christian activities, and participated in the daily morning and evening devotions that took place in her house during the six years I lived with her as a young boy. Many others helped to reinforce that spiritual base over the years durin
