Description

Jesus's authority over evil was revealed through the many signs and wonders he performed and through his victory over death. Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda believe that Christians today can experience the same victory since Jesus commissioned his disciples to spread the gospel and advance the kingdom with power. In Storm Warrior, the Chavdas equip believers to do battle with the enemies of God. They lead readers through biblical teaching about binding and loosing and into the realm of victory over the kingdom of darkness through signs and wonders. They offer prophetic insight into the Scriptures and share personal stories, showing readers how they too can walk in the power of God through all the circumstances of their lives.

FOREWORD
One of the greatest privileges of my life is meeting amazing men and women of God as I travel around the world in ministry. Many of these encounters become lifelong friendships that develop into Kingdom partnerships. The consistent effect of each relationship is that it brings out the best in me for God, and I am stirred to seek Jesus all the more. Each one makes me richer in the things of God, and each person I meet has something unique to offer the Body of Christ.
While I appreciate each one s character and anointing, some stand out in a most remarkable way. Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda are in that class of people. Their reputation preceded them long before I was privileged to serve beside them in various conferences around the country. But in meeting them, I realized that the half had not been told me! They surpassed my expectations. While I was invited to each conference to teach , in my heart I came to learn from them.
For a book entitled Storm Warrior to have an eternal effect on its readers, it must have authors who know battle and, equally, the way of victory. Its contents must not be garnered out of classrooms and textbooks. Only in the trenches of warfare can such books be formed, if they are to have lasting impact.
And there is one more qualification that not every warrior in Christ has stepped into: a view of the devil through God s eyes . Many war-torn individuals have the scars of battle on their minds-and the result is that they have a big devil. They can convince you of his strategies and plans. They can persuade you of the seriousness of the hour-but they have no joy. While their devil is big, tragically, their God is small.
Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda are the antithesis of that kind of war-torn believer. They illustrate courage and victory everywhere they turn. Seldom do you find a couple as qualified to write a book with this theme because seldom do you find a couple who have paid the price the Chavdas have to live in the daily experience of an authentic, victorious Gospel. They inspire me. And at times they convict me. I cannot help but hunger for more of God whenever I am with them. Their hunger for God and their experience in the supernatural lifestyle are contagious.
I love this book because it reveals, instructs and inspires. To find these three elements in any book is rare. But Storm Warrior is jam-packed with these elements that become tools needed to equip and release victorious warriors into a battle already won. I love this book because it releases one of the most important qualities into the heart of the believer: courage! I cannot imagine anyone reading this book who does not finish it without experiencing a supernatural rise of courage within his or her heart.
I highly recommend Storm Warrior to you in the same spirit in which I commend to you Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda. For they are the message.

PREFACE
The entire Bible is the story of the contest between two opposing kingdoms. The Old Testament records the conflict between God and the natural armies of those who opposed Him. The New Testament is the story of the confrontation between God and His spiritual enemies. From the tree in the Garden to the tree of Calvary, the Bible is a book of war. Positioned between this clash of kingdoms are the people of God. From captivity to battle plans to rules of engagement, God leads His people to triumph.
The first declaration of war was made by God to Satan as Eve looked on, her lips still wet with the juice of forbidden fruit. There God confronted man and woman for their sin and Satan for his rebellion. One was destined for redemption and the other for perpetual war and ultimate defeat. God said, I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel (Genesis 3:15).
The destiny of each successive generation is to be redeemed and re-equipped to walk in God s restoration amid the spiritual and sometimes natural battle surrounding us. David, the warrior king, sang, O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good inheritance (Psalm 16:5-6). This michtam of David was written as a prophetic declaration when he was in the midst of battle for his destiny and anointing as future king. From the days of sling and flute to leading the king s army, this warrior declared, [God] teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up (Psalm 18:34-35).
A generation ago Winston Churchill looked out across the horizon and saw a gathering storm, a mighty contest between the forces of darkness and light. It is the same contest that has come down to us, the people of God, prepared to deliver and defend a new generation of our heritage. Isaiah prophesied that when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). We are the new standard bearers on whom the next generation rests.
And what is the standard? It is the cross where Jesus Christ, the captain of our salvation, proclaimed His victory by crying out, It is finished! and routed the commanders of His spiritual enemies. At the cross He opened the way for all who follow Him to bring the captives out of bondage and take the spoils of His mission accomplished (see Ephesians 4:8). Every believer is ordained to become an effective and joyous storm warrior of the cross. Around the standard of the cross, we who believe gather in formation, receiving the commission from the ultimate Storm Warrior: Reoccupy and conquer until I come.
Whether it be a hidden shadow lurking inside that defeats you again and again, the challenge of physical disease threatening your child, a sudden disaster that hits your resources or an assault on your reputation or relationships, God has ordained that in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37).
Paul s exhortation to Jesus warriors still stands: No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules (2 Timothy 2:4-5). The art of spiritual war is of vital importance to every follower of Jesus Christ. Learning how to live in triumph, to joy in the Spirit and to rest in the balance between grace and strength is the challenge of every believer.
Our desire in Storm Warrior is to share the principles and testimonies of three decades of victorious living that will inspire, train, challenge and equip you to arise in the faith of Christ and push back the spiritual forces that oppose you. We have written this book for you and your family with confidence in the anointing God has reserved for you. Our prayer is that you might arise in His wisdom and enabling power to possess the gate of [your] enemies (Genesis 22:17) and take hold of the riches of your inheritance in Christ.
No mortal faces life without storms. Within these pages you will find the encouragement and practical guidance to become a storm warrior.
-Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda
