DEDICATION
This book represents a life learning process lived with God and learning to accept, love and understand who He created me to be. In reflection, writing this book has helped me to realize I come from a family of strong women who learned to cope and rise above their circumstances. These women, my mother, sister, nieces, and others have risen above their circumstances through their faith. My faith helped me to accept the past and have hope for the future with God.
In walking with God I am learning to listen to Him, depend on Him and follow His lead. It is a process that will last a lifetime. My work in ministry helped me to learn how to rely on Gods wisdom and have faith in His direction. This outweighed apparent circumstances. In helping to establish The South Florida Jail Ministries and Agape Women’s Home, God used my strength, untiring passion and my faith to build a haven for women and others struggling to have their new lives in Christ become real.
It is in the experience of living that we learn who we have been created to be realizing our true strength. Life is not easy sometimes but living it with God makes the impossible possible. If we listen closely before we make certain decisions we can avoid some pain but often it is through our mistakes that we learn our biggest lessons. It is exactly that – a learning process through our experiences and the experiences of others including those in the Bible who have come before us.
Without the experience in ministry I would not be who I am so I dedicate 25% of my proceeds from The 21 st Century Woman to The Agape Network to be used for women to continue to be impacted by the power of Christ in their lives.

PREFACE
Life does not come with an instruction book handed to us at birth with a clear statement of “keep this book with you always. When faced with unusual circumstances, the unknown, or bad situations, refer to this book on page….”.
Some of us come from a structured faith based homelife providing the guidance and spiritual reference to better handle life and the circumstances it brings. But even those individuals may seek their own understanding and decisions in circumstances. Along with the rest of us we often realize the decisions we have made have brought us to places we really don’t want to be in.
What I try to give you with these words are the lessons I have learned through experience. With it the knowledge gained from learning about God and His people throughout history. In all of my travels, experiences and learning, the most impactful lessons and knowledge have been from the experiences of God’s people and His love for me. It is that knowledge that has helped me to recover from unmentionable situations, from heartaches that rip a hole in your heart and burn their scars into your memory. I am not alone – you have also had your share of life - both good and bad.
After completing this book and moving forward I left many of the feelings on these pages with some of the lessons forever remaining with me. However it was not until my editor actually read some of my book back to me that they hit me hard and I knew that God would use these experiences to help someone else.
My life answers are not the “solution for every situation” but a compass to guide you to
