Good day to you; my name is Socrates. I lived and died many years before the baby Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Two thousand years after this major event, a new series of events have come to change your world. Much death and destruction will be seen and horror will consume your fragile minds but do not worry, help is at hand. This short introduction to the actualities of the Spirit World that surrounds your planet Earth will comfort those who are unaware that a life exists beyond the green grasses, mountains and rivers that you can see, hear, touch, feel and taste. Those are your human senses, but there is another side to a human life and that is your connection with God, or whatever name you give to the Divine Spirit.
Read well, my friends, and study further. Life is changing beyond anything that any man has witnessed since time immemorial. You are part of the rebirth of planet Earth.

Today’s date is beyond Saturday, 22 December 2012
This is the most exciting time in the history of mankind. The ‘End of the World’ that was predicted by the Mayan civilisation thousands of years ago has come true. But the ‘end’ that they predicted is in fact the end of mankind’s ignorance of Spirit and not the demise of the planet.
The consciousness of mankind and the vibration of the planet are being raised. You may now be seeing ‘Spirit’ for the very first time and will want to know how to cope as your senses are bombarded with a totally new vision of your world.
This short book of around fifty pages will get you started with the truth of what life has always been about and what life on planet Earth will become.
It is now time to assist you on your life journey.
Part One.
Chapter 1
What happens when you die?
I want to tell you a story. You are reading this now because you need to understand and to get in touch with the spiritual side of yourself. You are male or female. You may be black, white, olive-skinned, yellow or some other lovely colour. I also probably don’t know you personally; but this book is all about you and the society around you that contribute to shape your world.
I actually know more about who you really are than you do!
I actually know more about who you really are than your best friend in the whole wide world and even more than your parents!
I don’t even know your first language but I do know more about who you really are than you do yourself.
Please don’t feel affronted; the part of you that I know about is ‘your soul’ and its lifetime journey with the beautiful person that constitutes YOU. I will begin your story and mine.
I am going to begin at the end! I am going to tell you exactly what happens when we die. I’m doing this because when you know the actual truth about your impending demise, you can change the way you live for a much better life.
So you’ve just slipped off the plate. Your human body has ceased to function and it’s up to your relatives to dispose of the remains and to perform a final farewell ceremony. Well done. I hope you had a wonderful life.
Now, another world gets ready to continue your education – I use that word deliberately; you will see why later. This other world is called the World of Spirit or Heaven or whatever names your culture gives to it. It is there and you are still very much alive.
You will also be pleased to know that you have never been alone. You will be accompanied back to Spirit by your Guardian Angel; he or she will take you home. When you arrive back home you will be greeted by your relatives, Grans and Granddads, aunties, uncles and loved ones who are already in Spirit. It’s time for your welcome party with music (yes, music) and laughter, food if you want it, although in Spirit there is no need for food at all. You will feel amazing and any ailments that your human body had while you lived on planet Earth are long gone. You can even choose how you look; perhaps you were a visually stunning woman when you were 30; that is how you can now appear if you wish. Or, perhaps you were at your most relaxed and peaceful when you were 50 years old, messing around in your potting shed. Then this is how you will look; it is now all up to you.
I’ll come back to your Guardian Angel in a minute or two. The next thing you must do after your arrival is a review of your earthly life. You will have heard many a time of people who have had a near-death experience and state that their lives literally flashed before their eyes. This is what actually happens in your review. You will be accompanied into what is called the ‘Hall of Mirrors’ where your entire life on Earth is reviewed; the good things and the bad. It’s a bit like being in a film but the star of the film is you.
The Christians call it ‘judgement day’ when you have to face up to the Lord who judges you on your life of indiscretions and sin. I am informed by Spirit that this actually does not happen. Every soul is a spark of God and as such you judge yourself. No-one else judges you, just you yourself.
This appraisal can be very damaging and traumatic. You are no longer attached to your earthly body and are no longer attached to your human ego. You are now pure spirit and only in touch with your Higher Self. As such, you are now totally aware of right and wrong; good and evil. For some people – I should say souls – this prospect is too much to face. Their life on Earth would have been filled with hatred and violence; mental or physical violence. It will be explained that during the life review, you will experience and relive all of the happiest moments and also feel the joy of the person or persons who you made happy. You will also actually feel the full emotion of that person. You will be put into their shoes – so to speak – so you know how they felt when you made them happy.
Now for the downside; if you hurt someone you will not only feel remorse, but you will experience – in its entirety – the pain, fear and emotion of how that person actually felt when you hurt them. For someone like a ruthless dictator, a murderer, a torturer, a suicide bomber, even a school bully, they have to face the pain of every single person that they hurt. It is a daunting prospect and it WILL happen as sure as such nasty people WILL die.
We need an example. If we look at the bombings on 11 September 2001, nearly 3,000 people died when terrorists flew planes into the twin towers in Lower Manhattan, New York City, and into the Pentagon in Washington. In their life reviews, they would have to face the fear that EVERY single person felt who died on that fateful day; the passengers in the planes and the people in the buildings. They may have believed that 20 virgins awaited them in heaven as their reward for committing these acts but the reality of what the terrorists had to face in Spirit could not be more different. If you add every person who was connected and involved in the planning of this atrocity and who supported this act, then suddenly you begin to realise that being involved in a criminal life leads to dire consequences in the afterlife.
Conspiracy theorists speculate that departments in the US Government were responsible for blowing up the buildings and planting explosives so that the buildings imploded, which they did. Whoever was responsible knows the truth and they alone will have to face themselves in the Hall of Mirrors.
General Maximus Decimus Meridius’s pertinent stab at philosophy in the wonderful film Gladiator is a great confirmation:
‘ What you do in life echoes in eternity.’
I am also reminded of two of the Ten Commandments, which are still relevant to all living persons irrespective of race, religion or creed:
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain
You shall not murder
The words are unambiguous and couldn’t be simpler. You must not kill or there will be consequences, and don’t use God’s name to further your own agenda. So, for example, there is no such thing as a Holy War in the name of God. There is only ever war in the name of religion.
