Hanna, of the U. S. Assay Office, Charlotte, I have also obtained quite an extended list of mineral localities of the neigh boring gold region. And to Prof. A. A. Julien the survey is indebted for notes of the occurrence of notable minerals at many points in the mica mining section of the state, and elsewhere.
