Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. In this little work, then, I have attempted to give the outlines of a cosmical theory of music, based on the knowledge of our times, and, whether it be correct or not will be for an intelligent public to judge. For my part, if I have but succeeded in free ing the matter from the subjectivity by which it is now so enthralled, and shown that it can and ought to be treated from a purely objective point of view, I shall consider myself amply rewarded.
