For all types of goods (intermediate, capital September 1991 / September 1990 and consumer goods) there was a slight fall in Community production (Trend-Vãlueê) in September. The EURI 2 production index, adjusted for the number of working days, is currently estimated at 117.0 (1985 = 100) for September 1991, representing a fall of 1.1 % compared with September 1990. After seasonal adjustment, the estimated index forr 1991 is 113.6, which compares with 113.0 in August 1991. The seasonally-adjusted figure for EURI 2 production in the third quarter f ell by 0.7% compared with the second quarter in 1991, and for manufacturing (excluding mining) the corresponding fall was 1.4%.
