This was 12,5% less than at the end of the second trimester of 1991. This reduction was more marked in the United Kingdom (-34,5%), in Belgium (-18,7%), in Portugal (-10,9%) and in France (-9,8%). In 1992, these countries accounted for 32,1% of the workforce and 70,74% of the overall fall in employment. A drop of 6,1% and 3,18% were recorded for Germany and Spain respectively.
