« Maîtres apothicaires » und Beschränkung der Zahl der Apotheken in Lunéville im Jahre 1770.
1770, in Lunéville, wehrten sich die drei « maîtres apothicaires » heftig gegen die Niederlassung eines neuen, mit dem erfordeten Anrechtstitel, ausgestatteten Konkurenten. Der « Intendant de Lorraine » und zum wiederholtem Male, der « Conseil du Roi de France » (Ludwig XV. war der neue Herrscher in Lothringen) mussten einschreiten um die Gründung einer Apotheke aufzuzwingen. Nachdem daran erinnert wird auf welche Weise die niedergelassenen Apotheker ihre Anzahl unter dem « Ancien Régime » beschränkten, werden die vom « Collège de Pharmacie » von Nancy zu einer Beschränkung der Apothekenzahl angegebenen Gründe angezeigt.

In 1770, in Lunéville, three master apothecaries were fiercely opposed to the installation of a new competitor with the required qualifications. The Intendent of Lorraine and, on two occasions, the Council of the King of France (Louis XV being the new sovereign of Lorraine) were obliged to intervene to impose the creation of a pharmacy. After recalling how established apothecaries limited their number prior to the Revolution, one understands the reasons invoked by the College of Pharmacy of Nancy in favor of the limitation on the number of pharmacies.
