■ Wladimir Berelowitch. Entre marxisme et ethnicité : l'anthropologie russe selon Ernest Gellner. L'anthropologie, «ethnographie», soviétique constitue un objet d'étude instructif, d'une part pour des raisons épistémologiques, parce qu'elle développait des pratiques scientifiques fondées sur le marxisme tout en s'efforçant de l'adapter ; aux réalités décrites, et d'autre part parce . qu'elle avait pour champ principal les réalités multi-ethniques ou multi-nationales : de l'État soviétique. L'article se fonde sur, les écrits d'Ernest Gellner consacrés à cette discipline pour tenter de dégager les principaux postulats théoriques de cette ethnographie, et notamment le concept à'ethnos développé depuis environ trois décennies et qui tendait à remplacer l'analyse des classes sociales.
Between Marxism and Ethnicity: Russian Anthropology according to Ernest Gellner . Soviet «ethnographic» anthropology forms an instructive object of study, first for epistemological reasons, because it developed scientific practices based on Marxism while striving to adapt to the realities that were being described, and secondly, because its scope covered primarily the multi-ethnic and multi-national realities of the Soviet state. The article is based on the writings that Ernest Gellner devoted to this discipline in an attempt to bring out the main theoretical premises of this type of ethnography, particularly the concept of earns developed over the last thirty or so years and has tended to replace analysis of social classes.
