Ethnography conceives the school institution as a universe where everything that happens contributes to children's socialization. Inter-actions between pupils in the classroom have been studied from this point of view : our goal was to detect the structure and functions of this inter-actions.
This analysis is based on observational material coming from schools in Paris and in Barcelona, where one of the actors is a deaf child (Barcelona) or an immigrate (Paris). A second goal was then to understand in which way the inter-actions between pairs can help the integration of children who may find themselves in a more fragile situation.
L'approche ethnographique envisage Vécole comme un univers où tout ce qui s'y passe contribue à la socialisation des enfants. Avec cette perspective on a analysé les interactions entre élèves pendant la classe, de façon à saisir la structure et les fonctions de ces interactions.
Cette analyse s'appuie sur un matériel d'observations en classe recueilli à Paris et à Barcelone, où dans l'interaction un des protagonistes est un enfant sourd (Barcelone) ou un enfant d'immigré (Paris). Un deuxième objectif a été donc de chercher en quoi les interactions entre pairs contribuent à l'intégration scolaire d'enfants qui peuvent se retrouver dans une situation fragilisée.
