fitness tips to help youMany people have the goal to exercise regularly, but it takes a lot of motivation to stick with a fitness program. There are many obstacles that can stand in your way, such as a busy schedule. People can also get bored with doing the same fitness routine over and over, so it's important to introduce some variety. We'll look at some things you can do to motivate yourself -- whether it's to help you get started on a fitness program or to make sure you stick to one you're on right now. If you tend to have low energy when you exercise, this will make it harder for you to keep your motivation up. A possible reason could be low blood glucose levels. Before you work out, you might want to have a light snack. Don't eat a big meal, though, because that's not advisable. Fruit is good to eat before a work out. Trail mixes that include some high protein nuts are also good. There are also herbs and natural supplements that can help keep your energy high, such as ginseng, bee pollen and royal jelly. For many people, lack of time is a huge reason they can't stick to an exercise program. Some even don't get started on an exercise program because they think their schedule is too full. But you should know that even 10 to 20 minutes of exercising daily can be beneficial to you. You may not have time to go to the gym and work out for an hour, but you can still do a 20-minute workout. You can do a lot in just 20 minutes, even less. Also, you can break down your workouts in smaller or shorter sessions. So for example, you want to be able to work out for 45 minutes a day but you can't do a full 45-minute work out, you can work out in 15-minute increments throughout the day. If you realize that you don't need to spend hours to exercise every day, you're more likely to stay motivated to keep working out. Visualization can be a strong motivator when used properly with your exercise routine. You should picture how you will look when you've accomplished your goals. Try to see yourself at your ideal weight, or with the physique you've always wanted. In addition to mental images, make sure that you give yourself constant reminders that you stand to benefit from exercising regularly. One suggestion is to print out a few copies of this reminder and have them posted in places where you're likely to see them easily. You can also do what some people do: every two weeks, take a photo of yourself and post it where you can easily see the photo. If you see proof of how good a shape you're in every couple of weeks, you're going to be inspired to stick to a regular exercise routine. Unless you're motivated, you're not going to realize your health and fitness goals. The above recommendations will prove very helpful if you follow them regularly.
