Description

The author shows a clear connection between the amount of energy a person has and the amount of aging he or she does, pointing out that, in medical terms, aging refers to a loss of functioning, not chronology.

About the Author
To my patients, the most wonderful group of people a doctor could ever hope to serve.
You have allowed me to practice on you for years.
You have given your trust and often bared your souls.
You have faced the uncertainty of sickness and the certainty of death with great strength and courage.
You have given me support when I needed it most, and have taught me more about life and medicine than all my medical books and training.
In you, I have often been privileged to see the beauty and magnificence that humans are capable of. I feel humbled and honored in your presence.
This book is also dedicated to my wife and children, who have had to endure everything from coffee enemas to soyburgers as part of my particular search for truth.
Foreword
Natural healthcare and natural medicine really aren’t hard. We just need to read our human blueprints and follow them. It’s just common sense. We do this if we’re trying to maintain or repair anything else. Find the original plans, the original specifications, and work with or duplicate them. To repair broken equipment, we find parts identical to the damaged ones, put them in place just as the original plan specifies, and the equipment works again. No big deal. Maintenance is done like this all the time, everywhere.
Unless you’re a doctor.
If you’re a doctor, you try to repair humans with parts never, ever found in the original blueprints. Where the human biochemical plan calls for a protein or an amino acid, you use a patent medicine (pharmaceutical drug). Where the plan specifies a vitamin, you use a patent medicine. Where the plan calls for a combination of essential fatty acids, zinc, and vitamin A, you use … a patent medicine.
Is it any wonder that more than 100,000 people in the USA reportedly die of adverse reactions to patent medicines? The real surprise is that patent medicines do any good at all, since they’re simply not part of our original design.
It’s as if an entire country’s mechanics insisted on fixing automobiles with airplane parts. It wouldn’t make any sense. Customers would be screaming at them to follow the original plan. Use automobile parts for automobiles, and never mind whether the Federal Automobile Administration approves or not, the customers would demand. It’s just common sense.
Dr. Frank Shallenberger is a very unusual doctor. He follows the original human blueprint, even though he, too, was educated to use parts that have never, ever been part of the blueprint of human malfunction repair. For several years, he recommended patent medicines as he’d been taught in medical school. After observing that using airplane parts to fix automobiles didn’t work, he did something very unusual (for a doctor); he decided to figure out for himself what would really work, and in this book, he shares his discoveries with us.
Dr. Shallenberger went back to basic principles. He decided to apply the factors that have supported human life for literally hundreds of thousands of years (not one of them a patent medicine) and … they worked.
Water
Rest
Sunlight
Food (real food, please)
Exercise
Breathing (healthfully)
Simple things, but things we all need to re learn in the twenty-first century. Come to think of it, humans have needed to relearn them for several centuries, since our way of life has strayed so far from that of original humanity.
But Dr. Shallenberger doesn’t expect or want us to live as original, primitive humans. He blends the factors that have helped keep humans healthy over thousands of generations with real improvements that modern scientific knowledge has brought to healthcare:
Supplements (no one ever knew about vitamins a century ago);
Natural (not synthetic or horse) hormone replacement;
An advanced knowledge of human biochemistry that allows for a much more accurate diagnosis and treatment.
In addition, he’s put together a testing system that, logically enough, measures your body’s basic air intake and output to gauge how efficiently your body works. Even though his system is quite innovative, it’s just common sense (again). It’s just like testing automobile exhaust to determine how efficiently the engine works. Even better, if a malfunction is found, he can tell us how to fix it.
Please don’t think I am unappreciative of some of the tremendous advances made in medicine over the last century. Dr Shallenberger and I agree that if you get run over by a truck, it doesn’t matter whether the truck carried whole, natural organic food or junk food. Either way, you will benefit greatly from skilled surgeons using the latest techniques guided by the most up-to-date diagnostic equipment. These areas of medicine are the best ever. It’s just those patent medicines we have a big problem with.
The focus of this book isn’t just health. It’s health with plenty of energy to do whatever it is we want to do while we’re here. And bursting with energy doesn’t come from surgery or the latest diagnostic equipment. Energy comes from applying the basic principles taught in this book.
When I’m at a convention for natural medicine (original human blueprint) doctors, I’m always happy and never disappointed when Dr. Shallenberger speaks to us. I always learn something from his insights.
I’m sure you will too!

There are so many aspects that go into writing a book that have nothing at all to do with the author.
First of all, I thank almighty God for giving me the wisdom to see these truths even before there was a scientific way to verify them.
Next, I must thank all those researchers and seekers of truth who have, through their hard work, paved the way for my understanding of e
