Nine Index Funds From Legal & General Achieve Platinum Grading From S&P Capital IQ

LONDON,August 21, 2012/PRNewswire/ -- We are pleased to announce that Legal & General has been awarded the S&P Capital IQ Platinum grading for nine of its index funds, more than any other UK index fund provider. This rating, the highest available, reflects that the funds have demonstrated very high standards of quality based on investment process and risk awareness. Alastair Wainwright, Analyst at S&P Capital IQ Fund Research:"What differentiates these funds from others is the amount of qualitative work that goes into their management. Legal & General's unique process of indexation does not fit the traditional idea of passive investing, as many other index- tracker funds are highly quant-driven.
