NOTE: The finished measurement of the garment is smaller than the standard bust size by about 2
inches, as the mesh fabric tends to have a lot of give.

Foundation row (wrong side): K2, P2 rib, end with
K2

repeat to last 4 sts, yo, K2tog, P1, K1
Row 2 (wrong side): K2, P2, *yO, K2tOg, P2*
repeat to last 2 sts, K2.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for pattern.
Back:
Cast on 66 (74) (82) (90) sts. Work in Rib
Mesh for 9.5 (10} (1O.5) (11) inches, ending on a
wrong side row.
SHAPE ARMHOLES: Keeping pattern stitch
correct, cast on 4 sts from the beginning of the
next 2 rows. Decrease 1 st at each end of
following 4 (4) (8) (8) rows. 50 (58) (58) (66) sts.
NOTE: To keep pattern correct when decreasing,
make sure you can work a "yo, K2tog" as a pair. If
you cannot work these two instructions together,
then work sts in rib, until there are sufficient
number of sts to allow the pattern repeat to
resume. Continue to work in pattern until Back
measures 16.5 (17 .5) (18.5) (19.5) inches from
cast on edge. Cast off 6 (7) (7) (8) sts from
beginning of next four rows. Cast ofF remaining 26
(30) (30) (34) sts.
Front:
Work as given for Back up to armhole
shaping, placing a marker between 33rd (37th)
(41st) (45th) sts and the 34th (38th) (42nd) (46th)
st of the last row worked. SHAPE ARMHOLES: as
described for back, AT THE SAME SHAPE NECK
AS fOLLOWS: Work to within 4 sts of marker,
decrease 1 st, K2 sts. Join in more yarn and work
each side of neckline at the same time with
separate balls of yarn. K2, decrease 1st, work to
end. Continue by working the 2 sts at the neckline
edge in stocking stitch and decrease at neckline
edge as described on every following third row
until 12 ( 14) (14) (16) sts remain on each side,
and the front measures the same as back before
shoulder cast off. Cast off 6 (7) (7) (8) sts from
armhole edge on next and following alternate row
on each side.
Finishing:
Sew side and shoulder seams. Using
the tail of yarn used to join second side of
neckline, take one stitch from each side of vee
neck and draw closed any gap that may have
formed. Sew in ends.
