DETAILS
On September 14, 1999, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System requested
public comment on revised proposals to permit electronic delivery of federally mandated disclosures
under the following five consumer protection regulations:
•R egulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity) – Docket No. R-1040;
•R egulation E (Electronic Fund Transfers) – Docket No. R-1041;
•R egulation M (Consumer Leasing) – Docket No. R-1042;
•R egulation Z (Truth in Lending) – Docket No. R-1043; and
•R egulation DD (Truth in Savings) – Docket No. R-1044.
The Board is reopening and extending the comment period to obtain additional comments
from individual consumers, primarily by conducting focus group interviews. The Board must receive
comments by March 3, 2000. Please address comments to Jennifer J. Johnson, Secretary, Board of
Governors of the Federal Reserve System, 20th Street and Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC
