Summary. — Amongst the coins of the Qysmychi hoard found in 1992 is a dirhem from II Ordu struck in AH 401. Though the first coins of II Ordu were published in 1896, the localisation of this mint was the subject of controversy until the discovery of the Qysmychi hoard. The fact that in the last hundred years only nine coins from II Ordu have been found in all the rest of Central Asia, whereas the Qysmychi hoard in Chu valley has produced more than thirty-two, proves that II Ordu was in the Chu valley. The author localises this mint to the city of Ordu, near Balasaghun, mentioned by al-Muqaddasi (ca 985-989) and Mahmud Kashghari (ca 1072-1078). On dirhems of 394/1003-1004 the mint is called « Ordu », but beginning in 395/1004-1005 the epithet « II » (people) was added.
Résumé. — La découverte du trésor de Qsymychi en 1992 a révélé 32 nouveaux dirhems de l'atelier d'il Ordu (cf. fig. : pièce de 401 H.) dont 9 pièces seulement étaient connues. Cela permet de proposer une localisation dans la même vallée, dans la ville d'Ordu près de Balashagun mentionnée par al-Muqaddasi (ca 985-989) et par Mahmud Kashghari (ca 1072-1078). Le nom de l'atelier apparaît sous la forme Ordu en 393 H., puis II Ordu à partir de 395 H.
