E. Ritter, of the Universit}^ of California, and by Prof. Trevor Kincaid, of the University of Washington. At the time these specimens were sent me, I was already working up a collection of Enchytrceidee previously obtained in Alaska by Prof. Trevor Kincaid and Prof. W. A. Setchell, the latter principally on the island of Unalaska. Other specimens had been received from Dr. Richard C. McGregor, of San Fran- cisco, and still others had been collected by myself. Another small collection had long been in my possession, having been brought together by Dr. Anton Stuxberg during the Vega Expedition under Baron A. E. Nordenskiold in Of the1877.
