Der Verfasser fasst Karriere und Werk von Thenard (1777-1857) zusammen. Er erklärt dass dieser, wenn auch nicht selbst ein Pharmazeut, enge Beziehungen zu gelehrten Apotheker seiner Zeit gepflogen und den pharmazeutischen Beruf 1846 verteidigt hat, anlässlich der Gesetzberatung über die Ausübung der Medizin.
Baron Louis-Jacques Thenard and the pharmacists.
The author reviews the career and the works of Thenard (1777-1857). He shows that although Thenard was not a pharmacist, he maintained close relationships with the intellectual pharmacists of his time and defended the pharmaceutical profession in 1846 during the discussion of the law on the practice of medicine.
