هذا الكتاب يخدم الناطقين باللغة العربية الذين يرغبون في تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية، ويركز الكتاب إلى حد كبير على الجانب الصوتي للغة بعيدا عن الطريقة القديمة التي تركز على حروف الهجاء على حساب الأصوات، وبناءً على هذا، فإن الكتاب يقدّم طرقا لنطق الكلمات بصورة سليمة وينتقل في سبيل ذلك من الجزء إلى الكل ويعطي مجموعات من كلمات تحوي أجزاء متشابهة، ويجدر بنا أن نقول بأن النطق السليم يؤدي بالدارس إلى اكتساب كم من الكلمات يتنامى باستمرار وهذا الأمر مرتبط ارتباطا وثيقا بمهارة القراءة التي إذا أحسن تطويرها فإنها يمكن أن تمهد السبيل إلى اكتساب مهارات لغوية أخرى، ولهذا فإن الكتاب يولي أهمية كبيرة إلى النطق السليم إضافة إلى مهارة القراءة، ولا شك في أن المتعلم الذي يمتلك مهارة صحيحة في القراءة يمكنه القيام بنواحي لغوية أخرى.

Allah ( God ) says that of His signs are the creation of the heavens and
earth as well as the diversity of your languages and colours.

".ءﺎ ـﻤـﻠـﻌـﻟا هدﺎـﺒـﻋ ﻦـﻣ ﻪـﻠ ـﻟا ﻰـﺸـﺨـﻳ ﺎـﻤـﻧإ "

Allah says that of His human creatures the learned ones fear Him.

The Prophet , Muhammad ( pbuh) says that he who learns the
language of another community will be safe from their treachery.

Introduction and Dedication

English for Beginners is primarily designed for the good of
native speakers of Arabic who are willing to learn English. The graded
material and the approach allow the learners to proceed smoothly , thus
making the learning job accessible.
This book stresses to a great extent the phonetic side of the
language departing from the old approach which stresses alphabets at
the expense of sounds . Accordingly, the book provides ways to
pronounce words correctly moving from the part to the whole and giving
sets of words that contain similar phones such as :cast ,fast, last , mast ,
past and vast.
It is worth saying that sound pronunciation is conducive to the
acquisition of a continually growing number of words which is closely
linked to the reading skill. This reading skill, if properly developed, can
pave the way for the acquisition of other language skills . That is why the
book attaches great importance to sound pronunciation as well as the
reading skill . It is indisputable that a learner with a sound reading skill
can perform well in other language areas.
EFB allows the learner to practise the language by providing
model sentence patterns and by presenting the material in a logical way ,
which makes the language - learning task pleasant and worthwhile.
I have stressed , throughout the book , the integration of
all the language skills without doing any injustice to a particular skill. seize this opportunity to dedicate this book to my
daughters ,Iman , Rabab and Amal who have learnt English successfully
according to the approach on which this book is based. Their amazing
performance has made this book a reality.
I have to say that this book has to be used under the
direction of a specialized teacher of English .
I do hope that this book will make it easy for the Arabs to learn English
at this time when this language has become dominant in various fields of
science.
