In her own introduction, Alba Angelucci clarifies the main themes addressed in her book, the meaning of her research, the main theoretical questions she has proposed to address, leaving to the conclusions the task of sharing some of her reflections about the possible association between the policy context and the emergence of specific forms of urban citi-zenship, underlining their positive and negative aspects. The reader will then find in the initial pages of the volume what is needed as an approach to her research, thus exempting myself from the task of writing what would risk appearing as an “introduction to the introduction”. First of all, I would rather like to express my appreciation for the fact that her research path has found a positive ful-fillment in this publication. In my long experience as coordinator of doctoral courses, most recently the one in Economics, Society, Law, in which the author carried out her training and brilliantly completed her studies, it has often happened that works worthy of dissemination within the scientific community could not be published. This is fortunately not the case of her thesisGender, Space and Urban Citizenship: An Intersectional analysis. A com-parative study between Milan and Rotterdamwhich, appropriately revised, is presented in this book. It can be said that in her work, Alba Angelucci has interpreted exhaustively the themes articulated in her Ph.D. curriculum: Governance, Social Participation and Citizenship. In so doing she was certainly helped by her tutor, Fatima Farina and co-tutor Eduardo Barberis (University of Urbino Carlo
