THE HISTORY FILE

NEW WORDS
TO THE READER

At the edge of the world takes place in Greenland and North America over 1,000 years go. Leif, his father Erik the Red, and most of the other characters are real; a few, like Nansun the Navigator, are made up. The setting is also real and the voyages across the North Atlantic actually happened. By telling them as a story, I have tried to bring to life one of the most exciting adventures of all time.
