This important acquisition is the latest step in 1stdibs' strategic plan to grow its global online marketplace and become the destination of choice for collectors, buyers and designers who seek the most beautiful things on Earth. By adding over 200 leading UK dealer members of Online Galleries such asAdrian Alan, Koopman Rare Art,Mallet,Ronald Phillips Ltd, andTadema Gallery, 1stdibs has now more than tripled its European dealer community. 1stdibs will feature over 1,700 dealers in seven countries and offer international buyers a broad range of categories including antique furniture and design, jewellery and watches, fine homes, vintage fashion and fine art. Examples include an important Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair, an 11-carat flawless pink diamond and a Parisian penthouse. Everything offered by 1stdibs is sold by dealers who have undergone a comprehensive application process that includes store visits and references from their peers, buyers, designers and architects.
