(OMAM), the U.S.-based global asset management business of Old Mutual plc,

announced today it has made a series of executive appointments to further its

global distribution strategy.

Linda T. Gibson has been named Executive Vice President and Head of Global

Distribution for OMAM. In her new role, Ms. Gibson will spearhead and continue

OMAM's strategy of building core institutional distribution capabilities in global

markets to meaningfully contribute to its affiliates' global expansion.

Julian Ide, the company's former Head of Global Distribution and CEO of OMAM

UK, will be focusing on his role as CEO of the newly combined businesses of

OMAM's sister companies, Skandia Investment Group and Old Mutual Asset

Managers UK. That combination, announced in April, creates a significant asset

management presence in the U.K. and complements OMAM's global distribution

efforts by providing OMAM's affiliates access to sub-advisory, wholesale and

product opportunities.

In her new role, Ms. Gibson will spearhead OMAM's strategy of building core

institutional distribution capabilities in global markets where the firm can

meaningfully contribute to its affiliates' global expansion efforts. Ms. Gibson will

divide her time between OMAM's

Boston

and

London

offices and continue to

serve on the company's Executive Management Team, reporting to President

and Chief Executive Officer Peter Bain. Ms. Gibson has served in various

executive roles within OMAM since 2000, most recently serving as Chief

Operating Officer and Head of Affiliate Management.

Rob Marchetti, Vice President, Institutional Retirement and Sub-advisory, marks

the first of a series of hires that will be made over the coming months."

Also in conjunction with Ms. Gibson's appointment, Aidan J. Riordan, previously

Senior Vice President and Director of Affiliate Management, was promoted to

Executive Vice President and Head of Affiliate Management. Christopher

Hadley, Head of Human Resources, was promoted from Senior Vice President

to Executive Vice President.

Going forward Mr. Bain's executive team will consist of Stephen Belgrad, EVP

and CFO; Ms. Gibson, EVP and Head of Global Distribution; Mr. Hadley, EVP and

Head of Human Resources; and Mr. Riordan, EVP and Head of Affiliate

Management.
