The Serbian Library Consortium KoBSONThe Serbian Library Consortium KoBSON Expands its Access to Elsevier's Research Management and Database Solutions PR Newswire BELGRADE, Serbia, February 4, 2014 Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical, and medical information products and services, today announced it has expanded its collaboration with the Serbian Library Consortium for Coordinated Acquisition (KoBSON). KoBSON members will now have access to Elsevier's journal back file content (research articles published before 1995), a collection of more than 4,000 ebooks and to research performance solution SciVal Spotlight. Existing access to ScienceDirect and Scopus has been extended until 2017. Newly secured access to ScienceDirect combined with Elsevier's journal back file content will enable members to navigate through the entire range of research articles available on ScienceDirect. Together with access to ebooks, Scopus and SciVal Spotlight, KoBSON's members now benefit from a further improved scientific information and evaluation infrastructure aiming to increase research output productivity and visibility in the scientific landscape. Since then, we work closely with the research community, government and with academic publishers to increase access to global research literature.

KoBSON members will now have access to Elsevier's journal back file content (research articles published before 1995), a collection of more than 4,000 ebooks and to research performance solution SciVal Spotlight. Existing access to ScienceDirect and Scopus has been extended until 2017.    

Newly secured access to ScienceDirect combined with Elsevier's journal back file content will enable members to navigate through the entire range of research articles available on ScienceDirect. Together with access to ebooks, Scopus and SciVal Spotlight, KoBSON's members now benefit from a further improved scientific information and evaluation infrastructure aiming to increase research output productivity and visibility in the scientific landscape.

About Kobson Consortium

KoBSON, the Serbian Library Consortium for Coordinated Acquisition was established in 2001 and represents the Serbian research community. Through the National Library of Serbia, acting as a hub, the Consortium currently provides access to some 40,000 international journal titles, and more than 30,000 books. All these licenses are financed centrally by the Ministry of Science through a contract with the National Library. The KoBSON portal is the official site of the Serbian Consortium, hosted and maintained by the Center for Scientific Information at the National Library of Serbia. The portal is intended to offer integrated access to electronic content subscribed by the Consortium.
