Do you have an example of what has worked for you lately?
[JS] :
I've started a series called "Over the Top" which are over the top cards such
as a Diorama Card Class, a Stairstep Card Class, a Spiral Card Class. These have
worked well
CPP: Do you have an example of what hasn't worked for you?
[JS] :
Believe it or not, sharing of product. I offered paper shares, ribbon shares,
embellishment shares & marker clubs. I overwhelmed my customers by offering
everything! My suggestion is not to offer everything, just one or two. Much better
response.
CPP: What is your biggest challenge and how are you working to overcome it?
[JS] :
Time! I have so many ideas of things I want to do, however, time is a factor. I
tend to over commit myself and I've had to really work on it this year. I'm not
participating in every single thing that comes up like I have in the past, but rather
focusing on what I know will work for me. This gives me more time to spend at
home or visiting our family and friends.
CPP: What have you done to retain your customers?
[JS] :
Keep in contact with them. I send out a couple of emails a month (thanks to
Debbie's services). That has really helped.
CPP: What have you done to retain your downline?
[JS] :
I send them emails, host swaps, have meetings when possible. I'm always a
phone call or email away to help them whenever they need me and I try to get
them an answer as quickly as I can.
CPP: Do you have any organizational tips?
[JS] :
I keep all of my cardstock in our paperholders organized by color family in
the order that they are in the catalog. that way, when I'm placing an order, I can
use that as a guide and quickly see what I need.

CPP: Any tips regarding the project you are sharing?
[JS] :
It's pretty easy. Just use lots of adhesive so it doesn't fall apart. I suggest
glue dots.
CPP: What product is your biggest seller?
[JS] :
Stamp sets and punches.
CPP: Where do you find inspiration?
[JS] :
Everywhere. I'll see a color combo that I like and write the colors down. Look
around, you can find inspiration everywhere if you look for it.
CPP: What is your favorite part of the Stampin' Up! Website?
[JS] :
Stampers Showcase. I love it when one of my friends has a card up there.
CPP: Anything else you would like to share?
[JS] :
Just to keep at it. While times are tough and folks aren't spending near as
much as they were in the past, things will turn around. Becoming a Stampin' Up!
Demo is one of the best things I've ever done. I truly do love my job and the
friendships I've made are priceless!
