(2)Armaflex / Thermaflex Insulation Tube:

When air con is running, the copper piping will turn cold this result air surrounding the pipe to condense and the formation of water vapour. To minimise or eliminate this nature phenomenon, a medium call insulation which is design to have high water vapour resistance properties is introduce to isolate the cold piping from the surrounding air. This greatly reduce the occurrence of condensation. Another important properties consumer should look out is the classification of the Class and thickness of the insulation. Only class 0 or 1 should be considered as they have higher resistance heat gain properties and finally consumer should opt for thicker insulation which in turn will give them enhance protection. Some of the disadvantage when aluminium is use instead of copper: -Aluminium oxidize rapidly when expose to air. This cause the formation of aluminium oxide which is a good insulator. Hence this form unreliable contacts point compare to its copper counterpart. -Aluminium have much higher resistance compare to copper which in turn decrease the current capacity if cable is lay over a long distance. -Aluminium tend to be more brittle than copper material and could easily break during installation. -Aluminium will creep under heavy loading over a period of time whereas copper which have higher tolerance are better equip to cope with such situation.

(4)uPVC Drain Pipe: UPVC drain pipe are commonly installed for air conditioning system to drain off the condense water from the indoor fan coil to floor trap. Improper installation method will lead to drain pipe choke and result in water leakage from the air conditioning system. Drain pipe should also be insulated with insulation to minimise or prevent condensation from occurring. The recommended diameter size of the pipe should be at least 16mm. Some advantage of using uPVC pipe: - Materials is very light and ease of installation. -Corrosion resistant to bacterial / fungal attack caused by domestic waster and other chemicals encountered during trade waste application. -Provide versatility in jointing by solvent welding which minimise the obstructions of flow. -Smooth bore provides greater hydraulic capacity and minimise deposit build up or roughening of pipe wall.
