Writer Joe Ezterhas claims Sharon Stone’s notorious leg-crossing scene was no accidental piece of camera-work. According to him it was scripted, with make-up and hairstyling spending considerable time between the lady’s legs initiating the shot. Miss Stone, then again, vehemently denies she had any idea director Paul Verhoeven was filming up her dress inside scene. She also claims to have slapped his face what time she saw the rushes. He denies that happened at all. Well, somebody’s telling whoppers. At what time we consider the fact that Sharon was involved in relationships with both Ezsterhas and Verhoeven, it becomes even more confusing about who is and isn’t telling the truth. About five hundred protesters also demonstrated outside the Oscars the following year.

Sharon Stone spent much of her school decades in a class for children of high intelligence. A former Miss Pennsylvania, she has a reported IQ of 154 - one point higher than that of actress Geena Davis – if you can believe those kinds of stories. After Basic Instinct put Sharon inside star bracket, she refused the lead opposite Clint Eastwood in his show Inside the Line of Fire. He was not a big enough famous person anymore, she is reported to have said. I am more inclined to believe the part itself was not big enough.

Her agent’s partner William Skryzniarz has been quoted as saying, ‘What time Sharon wants someone she rents a hotel room and tells him exactly where and when to turn up. She makes it clear it’s a one-time opportunity, take it or leave it. She’s made the move on some major names’.
