Summary of Content:

This grammar manual is geared towards Beginner

students. Since the instructions and explanations are all in French, it is more

appropriate for beginner students studying in a class setting or for “faux-

beginners” with sufficient language skills to understand in French the grammar

rules and the vocabulary contained in the examples and exercises. The manual

teaches all the French basic grammar one needs to know, from nouns, articles,

verbs, adjectives, pronouns, and prepositions to sentence construction. Every

lesson contains on the left page the explanations of the grammar rules with

examples in French and on the right page application exercises and

communication activities.

Each lesson ends with a summary section containing

“des exercices de récapitulation » and « des bilans » to help students review the

content and evaluate their skills. Tables of conjugation are provided at the end of

the book. Answer keys to the exercises are provided in a separate booklet.
