What is a Funeral Plan?

A funeral plan will allow you to make payments into a trust fund with trustees or into an insur- ance policy which is then used to pay for the funeral whenever that turns out to be and provide instructions for your funeral service and unlike other payments that might be released after death like a life insurance. Your funeral plan is an agreement between you and an appointed fu- neral director who will use the funds you have paid into your plan to pay for your funeral and will follow the instructions you have left for them.

Why do you need a Funeral Plan?

Funerals are becoming increasingly expensive whilst disposable income and access to credit is becoming increasingly challenging for people to secure. More than that, with emotions running high, funeral plans can cause huge family fallouts and often leads families to fall apart when they are most needing to pull together.
