Description

Manuel du jeu vidéo A Game of Thrones Genesis. «A Game of Thrones - Genesis» is the video game adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s best-selling «A Song of Ice and Fire» series of novels. In this strategy game, your political prowess will be as important as your strategic and military skills! «A Game of Thrones - Genesis» plunges you into the heart of the battles and intrigues between the Houses that shaped the Kingdom of Westeros.
The arrival of Nymeria in Dorne (Year -700) up until the defence of the Wall against
the wildling invasions (Year 300) marks the genesis of the great saga of A Game
of Thrones that you will experience through 1,000 years of history.
Become a player in the greatest battles and the founding events of Westeros, such
as the invasion of the continent by Aegon the Conqueror and the War of the Usurper.
In this strategy game, victory does not necessarily result from brute force.
You can of course choose to use a military approach and besiege your opponents,
but you may also strangle by economic warfare, or use all the dirty tricks possible
and subtle diplomacy to politically crush them. Treachery, deception and backstabbing
are everywhere… so watch your back, always!
You can also play A Game of Thrones - Genesis in multiplayer mode with a richly
detailed campaign that will allow you to participate in the key moments in the history
of Westeros, where 2 to 8 players can do battle in intense games for the Iron Throne…
be prepared for alliances, betrayals, deception and ranged battles as you progress through
the game!

THE HOUSES ou can play one of the  ouses in the continent of esteros, each with its own history and characteristics. The ouses onuses are only availale in ouse vs ouse mode.
TARGARYEN ouse Targaryen is a nole family of alyrian descent that escaped the oom. They lived for centuries on the island of ragonstone until Aegon Targaryen and his sisters rode their dragons to the conuest of the even ingdoms. ouse Targaryen ruled as the ings of esteros for nearly  years, until expelled y oert’s eellion. Their seats were the capital city of ing s anding and the island castle of ragonstone.
STAR ouse tar has had its seat at interfell for close to eight thousand years and the lood of the irst en flows in their veins. eing of the orth, ouse tar has always een close to the men of the ight’s atch and it has lent assistance in repelling attacs from eyond the all.
TULLY ouse Tully never ruled as ings. Their seat is iverrun, which is shaped in a triangle and is situated etween the ed or and Tumlestone rivers the opening of the sluice gates creates a wide moat on the third side. The walls of iverrun rise sheer from the water and afford a commanding view of the opposite shores.
ARRYN ouse Arryn can date ac its line to the Andal invasion of esteros, some six thousand years ago when they too the name of ings of ountain and ale. owever, they sumitted to Aegon the onueror. Their main seat is the Eyrie, which sits astride a mountain nown as the iant’s ance and is accessile y a path of steps cut into the mountain.
TYRELL ouse Tyrell were stewards to the ings of the each until the death of ing ern during the Targaryen conuest. The position of the Tyrells was therefore contested and several families chafed at the fealty they owed to them. The each offered fertile lands providing the Tyrells with the income to finance a large army.
BARATHEON ouse aratheon is descended through the female line from the torm ings, having acuired oth the lands and the daughter of Argilac the Arrogant at the outset of Aegon’s onuest. The seat of the family is therefore, historically, at torm’s End. The ouse aratheon rose to overthrow Aerys  Targaryen and claimed the ron Throne, gaining oth ing’s anding and ragonstone.
MARTELL ouse artell was one of the ruling ords of orne until ors artell married the warrior ueen ymeria and went on to unite all of orne under their rule. ouse artell was the only ouse not to succum to Aegon the onueror and his dragons. After two centuries of fighting off Targaryen occupation, ouse artell ultimately sumitted orne to Targaryen rule through marriage.
LANNISTER ouse annister is, without dout, the richest family in the even ingdoms, due to the many goldmines in the esterlands. They reigned as ings of the oc until the Targaryen conuest. The seat of the ouse is at asterly oc, a powerful fortress which sits atop a roc overlooing the sea.

As other ouses are also looing to control the map, underhand actions are choice tactics that let you hold sway over your opponents.  ar  ou will inevitaly tae up arms lead your troops into attle and, hopefully, emerge victorious. The tas of acceding the ron Throne will e an arduous one. ou must form alliances with the towns and castles that mae up the world of esteros. eep order y securing the loyalty of your vassals and uash any attempts at a revolution. The more the titles the ouse possesses, the more uicly it will earn restige oints. There are four titles which are awarded respectively to the ouse that  • has the largest amount of revenue.  • controls the largest numer of alliances with towns and castles.  • has created the largest numer of victims (units illed and deception) .  • controls a sept (reliious buildin) . st prestige title form the most alliances end your envoys into neutral and enemy structures to create new alliances or to rea old ones. henes Another way of otaining restige oints is to complete challenges these are displayed on the top right of the screen and are issued to each ouse at the start of a game. nce a ouse manages to fulfil the reuired conditions, it will immediately gain ten restige oints and will e assigned a new ojective. f a ouse has not achieved its ojective after several minutes, the challenge will e cancelled and a new challenge will e issued. LOSING PRESTIGE n a game with less than four ouses, there are only three ways of losing restige oints  • when an enemy discovers one of your astards.  • when you esiege an enemy town or castle in a time of peace.  • when you are the victim of a secret agreement when war is declared. n a game of more than four ouses, there is a fourth way  • when you rea a pact with an enemy ouse. PEAETIME AND WARTIME A complete gaming phase includes two periods eace and ar. A game always egins in eacetime, and, unless a player wins uicly, ar is inevitale. Times of eace and ar are represented y a gauge at the top of the screen. At first, this gauge is lue to represent peacetime. t gradually turns red ased on the play ’ er s aggressive actions. nce the ar is completely red, the game switches to artime. n artime, only armies can tae the cities and castles allied with other ouses. n eacetime, this action immediately triggers ar. PATS n a game involving at least four ouses, it is possile to send your reat ord or heir to the eudal ome of an enemy ouse in order to offer a pact. The pact may e a nonaggression pact or a mutual enefit pact. The latter allows for the sharing of fields of vision as well as nonaggression. f course, given that oth parties to a pact are in competition for the final goal, the ron Throne , there is no guarantee that either type of pact will e respected. The ouse who reas a pact will lose  restige oints.
