MICRO ENTERPRISE BANK • ANNUAL REPORT 2002KPMGIndependent Auditors' ReportTo the Shareholders of Micro Enterprise Bank, KosovoWe have audited the accompanying balance sheet of Micro Enterprise Bank, Kosovo("the Bank") as of 31 December 2002 and the related statements of earnings and cashflows for the year then ended. These financial statements are the responsibility of theBank's management. Our responsibility is to express an opinion on these financialstatements based on our audit.We conducted our audit in accordance with International Standards on Auditing aspromulgated by the International Federation of Accountants. Those standards requirethat we plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance about whether thefinancial statements are free of material misstatements. An audit includes examining,on a test basis, evidence supporting the amounts and disclosures in the financial state-ments. An audit also includes assessing the accounting principles used and significantestimates made by the management, as well as evaluating the overall financial state-ment presentation. We believe that our audit provides a reasonable basis for ouropinion.In our opinion, the financial statements present fairly, in all materials respects, thefinancial position of the Bank as of 31 December 2002, and the results of its opera-tions and its cash flows for the year then ended in accordance with InternationalFinancial Reporting Standards.Tirana, 30 April ...
