TRANSFER OF REAL ESTATE ASSETS
Our team is actively engaged in all legal issues related to the sale and purchase of real estate assets. In addition to our
involvement in local transactions, such as investment in real estate and land development operations, Didier Lasaygues
Notary Office has unrivalled experience in acquisitions of portfolio assets and real estate arbitration. Our firm also masters

Real Estate Audit
In our role as counsel to the transferor, our teams assist the client in defining the best legal framework for valuation and

Our team is actively involved in all legal issues related to the sale and acquisition of property companies.
We assist our clients in legal and tax structuring of their projects by drafting and negotiating legal documentation in
accordance with their needs. Within the framework of acquisitions and transfers of property companies, we undertake legal
audits of companies and the drafting and negotiation of various deeds (guarantees of assets and liabilities, preferential right
agreement, price clause, constitution of security interests, etc.).

After having lead the Real Estate group within the Paris office of Freshfields for six years
as a lawyer, Didier Lasaygues
founded in 1997 the

Since its creation, Didier Lasaygues Notary Office has grown steadily, constantly improving the efficiency of the services it
provides to its clients, in all the activity areas described above.
Since the arrival of Hubert de Vaulgrenant in 2003, Didier Lasaygues Notary Office has been able to consolidate its position
and strengthen its activities, particularly in the fields of complex real estate transactions structuring, real estate financing,
Islamic financing, and in operations concerning renewable energy projects.
Naturally, Didier Lasaygues Notary Office is active in all areas of law for which its capacity as a public officer is required.
The vast majority of our clerks are notary graduates. Some of them are also lawyers, and have often received a double
qualification (ESCP, etc.) beyond their legal training.
All members of our staff are able to work indifferently in French and in English, and some are fluent in other languages,
such as German, Spanish or even Russian.
The partnership between our firm and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer lasted more than ten years (1997-2007). This decade

Didier Lasaygues, notary and former lawyer, is the founding partner of SELARL Didier Lasaygues Notaire Associé. He
worked for 10 years in different notary offices in Paris and Nouméa. In 1991 he joined the Freshfields law firm as a lawyer
and headed its real estate group for six years. In 1997 he decided to create his own notary office.
Didier Lasaygues’experience enables him to advise clients in real estate transactions not only in France, but also in pan-
European transactions such as acquisitions of assets portfolios. He also works in local real estate investment transactions,
and real estate development and promotion deals.

Hubert de Vaulgrenant joined the Notary Office Didier Lasaygues in 2003. He was appointed Notary in 2005.
Before joining the Notary Office Didier Lasaygues, Hubert worked for 12 years at the Notary Office of Maître Michel Martin, notary in
Paris, as a notary assistant and counsel for large institutional customers.
Hubert de Vaulgrenant is involved in real estate financing, including Islamic financing, and particularly in banking structuring and
implementation of various movable and immovable security interests.
His areas of expertise include construction law, real estate
development, and real estate transactions in general.
A native French speaker, Hubert de Vaulgrenant speaks English fluently.

François Gauthier obtained a Higher Notary Diploma in 2003. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Law and Taxation (University
Panthéon-Assas, 2000), a Graduate Diploma of Notarial Law (University Panthéon-Sorbonne, 1999) and a Master of Private Law
(University Panthéon-Assas, 1998). François Gauthier is also a graduate lawyer.

Lawyer, lecturer at the University of Evry Val d'Essonne and real estate law professor at the Center for Vocational Training of Notaries,
Marie-Elisabeth Mathieu joined the Notary Office Didier Lasaygues in 2006 as a consultant after having started her career with the law firm
Jeantet Associés.
She has a Ph.D in law from the University of Paris II - Panthéon Assas and is the author of numerous articles and a book,

Financial Services Online
, which won the Institute of France award in 2006 and was published in March 2005 with the publishing house La
Revue Banque.
