Publications de l'École française de Rome - Année 1992 - Volume 166 - Numéro 1 - Pages 175-180A strong relationship between the pottery of Lixus and southern Spain is evident. They belong to the same cultural community and may reflect the sphere of influence of the most western capital : Gades. Yet, it has to be pointed out, that the pottery from Lixus was not known to the author by autopsy but only by publications, which show only part of the finds and provide drawings not always very reliable. Having this in mind it is impossible to acquire a trustworthy chronology on the base of a thorough analysis of pottery-forms : by this two dates could be possible for early Lixus : late 8th century or even second quarter of the 7th century. 6 pages
